I recently ordered food from this restaurant, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The quantity of food served was far below expectations. When we called to address the issue, the owner, Raghu, happened to answer the call. Instead of listening and resolving the concern, he chose to argue, insisting that we had placed the wrong order — even after we clearly explained the situation.

After being on the call for over 6 minutes, I mentioned that this issue could easily be solved with a simple solution. However, rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, Raghu passed the call to his front desk staff, instructing them to either bring the biryani refill or apologize.

We even went to the restaurant (Janata Bar) by 9:48 PM, only to find it closed — leaving the issue unresolved.

Such poor customer service and unprofessional behavior are completely unacceptable. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Ashburn or Herndon area.

A gentle reminder to the management — always remember, the customer is like a god. Treat them with respect, and they will return. Ignore them, and you lose them forever.

I visited this place today evening for couple of beers and appetizers , I ordered him chicken majestic , firstly the appetizer it was not good and it was not majestic , the thing is when I said this about to the server his name is Mahaveer , he is not even Caring what we said and he is not listening to us , with full of attitude he didn’t even check on us , we people us to let others know and cricket people who used to come there , about your Restaurent , but I will say all those people not to visit this place we trashed 90% of our appetizer and we didn’t even want to order the main course , spending money on beers we can do it at our house also , especially we came to have the hot food , but that’s was disaster and not cooked there is nothing on it , just complained on it about to inspection and uscis also , please treat customers nicely … never we will
Visit this place again , please fire that mahaveer , that’s my concern , I said in all the groups about him ….

We ordered Starters of Onion Pakoda, Chilly Chicken and Chicken Majestic - it’s ok taste but with salty & juicy of sauces & greasy..
We went ahead & ordered Raju gari Chicken Biriyani & Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani - Ghosh.. when we tried chicken piece in the Biriyani it tasted & smelling literally like fish and their response was so pathetic.. Even in Biriyani difference is just cashews & smaller pieces and rice & its flavor is the same.
Literally we felt just ripping us off with catchy names in the Menu but not at all authentic food with much disappointment..Very Good after effects of having food.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food felt very greasy, overly processed, and clearly not fresh. Most of the dishes were loaded with excess oil and salt, making them heavy and unhealthy. Even the items that should have been lighter options tasted artificial, as if they came straight from a frozen packet.

While the service was decent, the overall quality of the meals left much to be desired. If you’re looking for fresh, balanced, or healthy food, this is not the place to go.

Lack of freshness.

I was quite disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The food did not meet expectations – it lacked flavor, freshness, and proper preparation. The presentation was also not appealing, and some dishes felt like they were not made with care. For the price, I expected much better quality. The biryani had a strong rotten smell and was completely inedible.
Extremely disappointed – the food was stale, with a foul odor, clearly not fresh.Ordered biryani but it arrived spoiled, giving off a rotten smell – very unsafe to eat.Unhygienic preparation. The biryani had a bad, spoiled smell and tasted off.

I picked up biryani late night this week and it was a very bad smell.. 👎

This is our food we just bought around 12:00 AM. And we came back around 3:00 AM with the food which we bought. 2 Goat biryani and 1 karappodi chicken appetizer costed us around $56. Biryani’s was smelling too bad i mean i can literally say that the smell this some kind of rotten. We came here to show them but unfortunately they were closed but, in there website it’s showing it is open until 4:00AM. We tried calling them and it’s not connected. I never suggest or recommend this kind of biryani’s in Herndon area where lot of people likes biryani and having a cravings of keeping this food as an option as dinner. Please don’t come to these guys for biryani’s especially. We will go legally no matter what they say. These kind of food should be banned around the states which leads to mentally and physically challenging with the people’s health or immune systems. Never ever suggest this place as a late night food serving.
