I wasn’t sure what to think when I walked in. The first thing I noticed was the smell of smoke when I opened the door. Thankfully, smoking is confined to the bar. The dining room is smoke-free.
The ambiance is Buffalo NY. I had the Buffalo platter which included wings, a beef-on-weck sandwich, kielbasa, and pierogies. All delicious and for a reasonable price. The mango cart wheat beer was one of the best beers I’ve ever had.
Service was quick and friendly with the exception of getting the check. We had to flag down the waiter to ask for it. To be fair, he was pretty busy. I would have been bothered much more if the food was slow.

Outdoor seating with heat lamps create a cozy environment to enjoy live music, which is generally showcased on Thursday evenings. The food quality and quantity exceeds expectations.
If your looking for a neighborhood bar with lots of friendly people and a great atmosphere Jimmy's is the place for you. Jimmy, a Buffalo area native, is very active in the community and likes to get to know his patrons in a friendly manner. I haven't been there in a couple years, unfortunately, but he always remembers who we are when we stop in. That means a lot to us.
Also he has expanded the bar since the last time I was there which has a new outside patio bar (bier garden) and an expansion wing for additional dining tables.
The food is always good, reasonably priced and the down to earth people always make it a great experience. Also this is the only place in NoVA I know of that serves traditional western NY food like Perogies (made the right way with potato), sausage, bratwurst, and Salin hot dogs (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!). A lot of Western NY area food to enjoy and children are always welcome during normal lunch & dining hours.
Stop in and ask for Jimmy he would love to meet and greet! A true bar host, patriot and gentlemen. Jimmy's also caters for your special event! Stop in, you won't regret it.
