Madrás Chopsticks is my family's favorite restaurant. We're over an hour away and still make the drive out for special events. Tried to go yesterday but found that they're still closed for renovations, would love to know when the grand reopening is so we can come out and celebrate.

I've been eating at Madras Chopsticks since 2022, and the food is always delicious! I love recommending it to my friends and family.
Additionally, Madras Chopsticks recently catered for our Indian/Chinese fusion-themed wedding, and again all the food was tasty, we received compliments from the guests about the reception food. The staff at Madras Chopsticks are also top class, they were great servers at our wedding and they are always professional and friendly whenever we visit the restaurant in person.
In short, this is a great place to eat if you are looking for a new restaurant to try in Herndon (I recommend trying the Thai fried rice and any of their biryani dishes - you won't regret it!)

I have gotten food from here several times. I usually get one of their paneer dishes. It always tastes significantly different. One of the times it was really good but then I couldnt get the same one ever again. I still kept going to them because I am hopeful I would get lucky again.
Today, I ordered a chicken dish where the rice comes complementary through delivery. When my food arrived, I did not get the rice. I called them and the guy did not know what to say to me. He just said it was complimentary so it should not matter and they cannot do anything about it. He did not really seem to care. Okay fine, I moved past that. But then even the food itself just looked like someone just dumped it a box and gave it to me. Very disappointing.
Go there if you are trying to test your luck. I have been going for a while but I definitely will not be going anymore. Really not worth it. Too inconsistent and you can never know what to expect. Gave them benefit of the doubt for a while but when they could not do anything about not giving me rice and did not seem to care, they lost me. I do not write reviews but I needed to speak on this to help others out.

Staff is friendly. Good south Indian food, though there are fusion Iindo-chinese dishes as well. Ambience is average, commensurate with pricing. Lunch specials are good value for money. Chicken chetinad and dosas are a must try!
September 2024 update: Unfortunately the food quality has deteriorated. Sambar and coconut chutney were watery. Sambar did not have salt. I won't be coming back.

Tried the banana leaf feast on Labor Day. Reminded me of having food at home. It was one of the best buffets I have had in Herndon and Ashburn area. The service was also exceptional.
