Oof. This food is rough. I ordered paneer masala and it came out as some sort of curry soup with minimal flavor.

I went for breakfast on weekend . Food was great and tasty . Service was good too. Only drawback is their overcharge. I asked for idli podi. They added $1 for that . Also they added 15% service charge even though I went alone . On top of that transaction fee for credit card . Originally breakfast was $14 including tea . But I paid close to $20 for one person with all fees for mini breakfast . This is not good business tactic. Either display correct price . Give option of tip rather than default service charge for 1 customer . Charging extra $ for podi or pickle is cheap ! I would definitely visit again if they cut all additional charges for delicious food

Delicious Food & Impeccable Service from Madras ChopsticksPlanning a catered event for 45 people can be daunting, but thanks to Madras Chopsticks and the amazing Mr. Guru, it was a breeze! From the initial planning to the final bite, Madras Chopsticks exceeded our expectations in every way.Mr. Guru, the owner, was an absolute dream to work with. He patiently helped us determine the perfect quantity of each dish, ensuring there was enough for everyone to enjoy (and maybe even seconds!). As regulars at his other restaurant, Sai Saravana Bhavan, we knew we were in good hands. He even went the extra mile by having his best chef prepare the food for our special occasion, guaranteeing an authentic and delicious experience. The food itself was simply phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection:Onion Pakodas: Crispy and perfectly seasoned, the perfect appetizer to kick off the event.Mini Ghee Idli with Chutney: Made in the traditional South Indian style, the ghee idlis were soft and flavorful, paired perfectly with the tangy chutney.Gobi 65: This unique dish had a perfect spicy kick, leaving everyone wanting more.Dry Chilli Paneer and Veg Hakka Noodles: A delicious fusion of Singaporean and Indian flavors, these dishes offered a unique and exciting twist on classic favorites.Tirunelveli Halva: The surprise dessert was a delightful touch! This authentic treat reminded everyone of its unique origins and added a touch of sweetness to the end of the meal.Beyond the delicious food, Mr. Guru's attention to detail was truly impressive. He ensured the food was prepared on time, even providing a hot box to keep everything warm throughout the day. This allowed us to relax and enjoy the event without worrying about the food. Our guests were absolutely raving about the food, especially when they learned the unique stories behind each dish. Mr. Guru's passion for his culinary heritage shone through in every bite, adding a special touch to the entire experience.Overall, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're looking for delicious, authentic food, exceptional service, and a truly memorable dining experience, look no further than Mr. Guru and his food.

Service was good, staff were attentive but the attention sometimes felt intrusive. But I'll give them points for genuinely being interested in serving us.The kottu porotta and vada were sub par, the idli and paneer chili dosa were good. The food, overall, didn't taste anything like a Chennai chef's preparation.I also hated the sticky floors, the ambience was unwelcoming and drab.Don't think I'd ever go back again.

I usually do takeout from here. I like their Indian-Chinese options.*For dine in they charge standard 15% service fee / tip, however our server said they don't get that. Don't know what's the deal there.Vegetarian options: I found their Fried Chili Paneer and Veg Manchurian with Gravy is good
