This was my first time at Sorrento Grill in Herndon. It feels like a fast food place that is slow. The food was mediocre, not much flavor. Went for lunch and it was pricey. The bread they served my kubideh on was soggy and only the edge of the bread was edible the rest was soggy and I left it on the disposable plate. The very little vegetables I got were not cooked well. They were very wet, which was probably why the bread was as soggy as it was. There are to many other restaurants that serve this type of food that is much more flavorful and without soggy bread. I will not be returning. I would have given it 2.5 stars if you could give half stars.

I always get takeout but the food is great and the owner is always very sweet to me when I come pick up the food.
My parents have been coming to this establishment for a very, very long time. They order food almost every week and have never once had a bad thing to say about this place. The service has been top-notch, the food has been excellent, and the people who run this place are amazing. The food comes in very generous portions, and is a hearty meal. The food is prepared fresh, and I've never had any issues with the quality of the food. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Eastern Loudoun/ Western Fairfax area who enjoys eating Persian/Mediterranean style food.

Unfortunately, the food was tasteless, no spice and full of extra oil instead of butter. The rice especially lacked the distinct aroma and flavor of true basmati, which was disappointing compared to other Mediterranean or Persian spots nearby. Anyone familiar with this type of cuisine will understand the difference.
