Just visited Spice Village, and I honestly don’t even recognize the place anymore. What used to be a great spot has completely lost its touch. The service was incredibly slow — we waited far too long for food that arrived cold. On top of that, the staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional, like they couldn’t care less whether we were there or not.
The quality of the food has seriously gone downhill — bland, cold, and nowhere near the standard they once had. And the overall vibe of the restaurant? Just strange. It felt awkward and off, like the place was running on autopilot with no passion behind it.
It’s really disappointing to see how much things have changed here. Definitely won’t be going back. Spice Village just isn’t what it used to be.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing atmosphere. Food is great as well the reason why I am reducing the number of stars is, among my several visits last visit was terrible. I often pick up friends and family from airport and directly go to this place. The servers need to improve their communication, services and better dealing.
I ordered something which wasn’t taken correctly and we waited for 45mins and order wasn’t even complete. And server was a bit rude in response instead of accepting his mistake.
Just me, and my family of 7. Everyone enjoyed their meal, I ordered a grilled peri peri chicken wrap. It was fresh and delicious.
The cuisine was excellent, particularly the steaks, which were exceptionally flavorful. Service was slow, although the staff remained courteous. However, the pervasive cooking smoke significantly detracted from the dining ambiance.
The service has severely deteriorated in this place. They moved me from my table after being seated to another table, but the other table had people sitting there and we stood waiting to be reseated. The Chinese food menu was limited and did not taste authentic at all. The staff doesn’t really know American customer service values where the customer expects cleanliness and prompt service.
I rarely leave reviews, but this visit was too disappointing not to share. From start to finish, this restaurant failed on every level — service, timing, and especially food quality.
The service was abysmal. The staff kept forgetting what we ordered, brought dishes out completely out of order, and didn’t check on us once after dropping off the food. It genuinely felt like we were being ignored — and when we tried to get help, it was like pulling teeth. They seemed totally disorganized and uninterested in whether we were taken care of.
The food itself was just terrible. When our plates finally came out, the rice had steam but was only mildly warm, and the rest of the food tasted off — as if it had been sitting out and was simply reheated. We ordered wings and crispy chicken, and both came out cold, sticky, and barely edible. The texture was awful and honestly didn’t even taste like real chicken. It felt like we were served leftovers that someone microwaved and hoped we wouldn’t notice.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was a complete waste of time and money, and I left hungry and frustrated. There are too many good places out there to waste a meal here.
Great food, both dine in and takeout, but the process for actually getting it can be counterintuitive. Dined in then asked for takeout, they did not tell us when takeout was ready.

Food was amazing great customer service as well.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Miserable owner miserable staff. I’ve been here three times annd each time has been a nightmare. I was given half cooked hamburger refused to even provide another one. Wait time is long and their “specialty drinks” are mostly made up of food color.
Unfortunately, this is what fellow Pakistani business owners have become; rude, selfish and incompetent.

Restaurantji Recommends
Had dinner here recently and was incredibly disappointed. The restaurant itself was freezing, and the food, unfortunately, got cold very quickly as a result. We were constantly battling the cold while trying to enjoy our meal, which made the experience quite unpleasant. To top it off, the service was also subpar.
I wouldn't recommend dining here unless they improve their temperature control and service.

One of the best halal food places in DMV. Brings together diverse cuisine under one roof. Peri-Peri, Smash burgers, and shinwari cuisine is perfect; steaks have room for improvement.
