The service was kind and quick. The ambiance was relaxing and quiet. The nigiri and sashimi were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. My 10 year old son loved this experience and agreed that the food was delicious.

Got take out (pickup), just after opening. Order was ready quick, thoughtfully packaged to keep hot and cold separate. Spicy tuna roll has legit spice, not like most places. Umi roll was excellent, and Yellowtail carpaccio had huge (4.or 5) pieces of yellowtail.

One of the best sushi restaurants in Northern Virginia. I have visited this restaurant three times and every time I have been impressed with the food, display and atmosphere. They have options to purchase mixed rolls for two, three and four people and it is the best to just try a wide variety of rolls. Each roll is made with unique flavors it is like an explosion of flavors. Absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Had a friend bring me here for my first time at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. I had not been to a sushi restaurant in quite some time so this was a lovely experience. I had the soft shell crab tempura and California rolls while he did yellow tail, salmon and another thing or 5 off the list. All plates were cleared and we both rolled out full and happy. Will eagerly return in the future.

We eat here every Saturday after work. The sushi is AMAZING. My husband actually slams the table in happiness after the first bite. Then he makes a happy face and shakes his head in disbelief. I enjoy his theatrics almost as much as the food. Great staff and atmosphere as well.

Came because Sushi Umi was nearby and had great reviews — and wow, it did not disappoint. My experience wasn’t just good, it was amazing. I was genuinely blown away by the quality of the fish, the attention to detail, and the presentation of every dish.

Good quality and high price. This is so far one of the three best Sushi house I have had (compared to the one I had in Lexington and the Zen Sushi at my home – see my other reviews). We ordered Kama (18), three rolls (18-20 per roll), regular sashimi (38ish), and a teriyaki beef (24ish, for my son only). The kama is lightly roasted in a very appropriate way. The skin is crunchy and the meat is very tender. Three rolls are all amazing (the best), Dragon, Umi, and Worldgate. The rice is good and thin but it is not loose, tightly accommodating all kinds of delicious staff like eel, salmon, etc. the source is sooooo good. My son also reported the teriyaki beef with rice is well made. The only complaint is the price. Compared to a similar quality I have had in other places, this places is in a higher end of price. We spent 140 (tips not included) for these dishes.

The food tasted fine, and the sake flight was really good. My friend and I went home with upset stomachs. My other friend got home and had diarrhea. She had uni, takoyaki, and the 007 roll. I didn’t think the sushi was what upset my stomach but after hearing from my friend I think maybe it was the sushi. Wouldn’t go back again due to this, but might’ve just been unlicky.
