I came here for lunch with 4 kids as they were craving dosas. The whole experience was odd. When we sat down they only gave me 1 menu. When I asked for additional the waiter gave me 1 more. They didn’t have any sodas so they had to go to their sister restaurants. Everything is served in paper plates and plastic forks although I was seated at the nicer restaurant. We got four dosas it was not good. We actually didn’t finish our meals and I took the kids to McDonald’s afterwards. The customer service was not very great and they did not check up on us throughout the meal.

This has been my worst experience with them, I had given it chances knowingly. The food I picked uo from here was tasteless and stale. It smelled too bad and I had to trash hell lot of food. Never going there again.1. Ghee roast Mutton2. Karampodi chicken fry

We ordered thali for a large group, both veg and non veg thalis are tasteless. We wasted out money by trying this food. They applied 15% service fee on the top which made our experience much worst. I don’t recommend anyone to try their thalis period.

We were here for the dosa night and it was worth every penny. The taste was good but the dosas are not really different from each other though they have different names. I wouldn’t recommend the paneer dosa here. They just sprinkled some raw paneer on a dosa and served it.

One of the worst restaurants ever. Ordered mysore bonda and one day they gave nice chutney and the other day the chutney is damaged. Both the times the bonda smelled bad may be of reusing the oil and the store ambience is worst. Need to upgrade. If you maintain properly will come back. Please improve the quality of food and service. However, will try to complaint to Virginia health safety about reused oil and damaged food. Thanks

Ordered 65 biriyani and chicken curry. Biriyani tastes very average and the rice didn’t cooked well. Some Chicken pieces are smelling bad so I think it might be old or left over. No complaints on the chicken curry though it tasted good. Didn’t expect this quality.

Awful customer service, awful peanut chutney. Very dirty place as WellCare does not seem hygienic at all. Don’t go and waste your money. Also, they charge 10% gratuity automatically and 15% for dine-in.

The food here was amazing, one of the best Indian meals I've had in years. The place settings and dishes were disposable, due to covid measures but the service and quality of the meal more than made up for it. Our serving sizes were large. I might well drive an hour just to visit here again! Recommend.

Tried their non-veg thali. The ambience looks decent and calm. Thali covers decent amount of items and most of them are tasty. Special mention to the chef who brought us the hot biryani to the table, looks like he really enjoys cooking. Biryani was delicious that day and service as well. Also tried their idly chutney both are super good.

Really bad food. All the dosas tasted the same and were thick . They had garam masala sprinkled like red chilli powder in all the dosas we ordered and on top of that they didn't serve coconut chutney. It took them forever to make uttapam and it arrived half cooked and cold. All these even when only two tables were occupied on a Saturday evening. It takes a special skill set to make south Indian food taste that bad. This is probably my worse experience of south Indian food in NoVa.

Wasn’t expecting to put a 5 star review on an Indian place here in Herndon based on previous ill experiences in other similar joints but this place has phenomenal food (their thali was 17.50 but so delish). Neither of us got sick and we both thoroughly enjoyed the flavors, which is rare.

Worst experience ever! It was a great place for Indian food a few years ago before COVID. I went with my family to have their Thali (taste was not great) and after we finished the food in the plate and ready to pay the check, waitress says there’s biryani, I could have got it for you. When I asked her why we weren’t initially told that biryani was served as part of thali, she gave lame excuses and didn’t have a courtesy of packing that to go! When I talked to the manager Pavan, he started comparing it to how American restaurants serve bread as complimentary (FYI- customers are informed by waiters about complimentary food at the restaurants) and that we have to check Facebook because that’s where they mention and everyone in the world knows that they serve biryani with Thali. When asked why it was not mentioned on the menu, he gave lame excuses of their menu changing every day/week. The manager had the audacity to say that Indians only complain at the Indian restaurants and not in the other restaurants(that was straight discrimination). Will never visit this place and wouldn’t recommend to any of our friends.

We had a very enjoyable and tasty meal here the evening before catching a flight from the airport. The food was excellent and the portions sizeable. The service was good and dining area pleasant. This is a bit of a hidden gem I think. It's a too far from my home to come regularly but if near the airport you should consider this place.

We were a group of 6. We came from Dallas to meet a friend in Virginia. Our friend carefully picked Tatva Indian Cuisine as the top restaurant. We went for lunch on Mother’s Day with my mother. We had non-veg Thali. The food was so so tasty. It is the best quality food. Thali had so many dishes. Chicken curry, Mutton curry, Chicken malai kabab, potato fry, fish fry, Dal, sambar, rasam, papad. Then there was white rice, awesome jackfruit Biriyani, super awesome tasty chicken Biriyani. Everything was so fresh and so tasty as soon as it touched the tongue. The owner Rajanikanth is such a hard worker and is the master chef. He treats every customer like a relative visiting his home for lunch. So warm and so down to earth. They were understaffed but still they served us with great care and attention. We had a lovely meal.

I went on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty. Very average taste. Not at all authentic south indian. Restaurants like Adyar Ananda bavan(A2B), Sai Saravana bavan(S2B) and Rupa vira, Tawa fry has increased the standards of Indian restaurants in this area with their consistent authentic taste. Probably people are going there and not coming here. If you cannot pull crowd on a Saturday, It's time for the owner to close the business and invest money somewhere else.
