Came for a steak and cheese. Left with a $20 nasty sandwich that ended up in the trash. Big mistake going here

If you want a real Italian sub then this is the place to go. This is one of our absolute favorite spots and we haven’t been let down yet. The Mad Italian is our go-to but you could get any sub and enjoy. Note: The Mad Italian is a huge sub, so it’s big enough to share with another person.

I’m very transparent in my reviews as I own several restaurants and bars in North Carolina. That being said. When you walk in it gives off the old school deli vibes. Which is cool. You’re not greeted or told goodbye, have a nice day, etc. when I walk to the counter it was just a “yes” given by the gentleman. The sandwiches we had are basic toppings, which is okay. But needed salt and pepper. Not really any seasoning. It’s $20 for a foot long and $15 for a 8 inch. The meats and cheeses are fresh and high quality. But that’s not what makes a deli a deli in my opinion. The staff needs to make it feel like it and welcoming. The gentleman, which I assume is the owner or some type of manager honestly just seemed tired. I don’t know if he’s burnt out or what. Just seems he wants to be out of this kind of business.

Tried this Deli last time in the area it was great. Been here a week and have eaten here 3 times going back today. Salads and subs are the best I’ve ever had.

Staff barely speaks to you. They were speaking another language to each other. Not greeted upon entering store or leaving store

Came because of the positive reviews and to support a small local business. It was a letdown, sadly. I ordered the 8” hog, chips and a Snapple. $18.50 and I actually needed to add salt and pepper, the sandwich was so tasteless. The bread, meat and tomato had zero flavor, they forgot the mustard and the pickle was limp. I ate it because I don’t like to waste food, but I won’t be back.

I wonder if all the positive reviews are out of nostalgia for a time when this was a real deli?

This is probably the best deli in the area and definitely the best one in Herndon. I don't have any pictures because my wife and I devoured our sandwiches.

I highly recommend the Mad Italian and the Mafioso. The meat and cheese portions are generous. Service was fast and welcoming. The interior decor feels like a bodega and has a cute charm to it.

A 12 inch is about 16 bucks but realistically you can make 2-3 meals out of it. There is a $1 fee to pay with a card so bring some cash.

I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the sandwiches.

Only subs that compete with Jersey Mikes.
The whole hog(ham turkey roast beef) is my favorite.
Great customer service and ownership.
Highly recommend.

Very large, fresh subs with a large selection of ingredients. Note: pay less with cash.

I've been going to this deli for 35 years ..maybe more! I love this deli because they never changed their recipe/ingredients and how the subs are assembled. Always the right amount of meat, same great taste and you can't complain about the price. This is THEE best sub place Ever!

Tried this place for the first time recently. Great sandwiches at a good price. I got the Mafioso and it was generously filled. Loved the hot peppers. Will definitely go back.
