My husband and I ate dinner at the bar and shared the beef & chicken fajitas. We also were served chips & salsa. The fajitas were not good--the beef was too tough and I could barely chew it. I gave up and tried to eat the chicken. There was a sauce on the fajitas that really did not make it better. Yuck. I gave up on the fajitas and figured I'd just eat some chips and salsa to fill up. When we asked for more of the salsa (which was in a tiny tiny bowl) we were told there was an upcharge. What? OK, whatever... I was hungry. When the check came, we had been charged $5 extra for the chips and salsa that are complimentary at other restaurants. Never again. If you're looking for Mexican food around Worldgate, head to Taco Bamba's nearby for a far superior meal. Oh, and we were the only diners in the restaurant and still had to flag down the bartender every time we wanted more water, salsa, etc... he tuned us out to chat with the bored servers. Sorry Uncle Jalapeno... we really did try to give you a fair shot!

The pieces of steak for my fajitas were too large to eat in a single bite (which is what I'm used to doing with fajitas) and they were too tough to actually bite through. This meant I had to cut everything into smaller pieces before I could eat. The flavors were good, though, so at least they got that right.The buttered chicken enchiladas (or burritos - I don't remember which they were) had pats of butter in them. She said they were a flavorful fusion and she enjoyed them.

Uncle Jalapeño’s was so good. Karan our waiter was so nice and the manager on duty stopped by to say hello. All the staff was so friendly and the food was so good. The paneer tikka tacos, the nachos and the chicken tandoori burrito (forgot to get a pic before the Mister dug into it) were all phenomenal. And I’m obsessed with their salsa. You can get straight forward Mexican or Mexican/Indian fusion. Yum!!!!!

This place was great! Stopped in for a work lunch this week and it was quite a treat. All of our meals were excellent, the chicken tortilla soup was quite tasty. The tandoori enchiladas were fine but the tandoori fajitas were the table favorite. My suggestion for Improvement is the rice. It was relatively bland and underwhelming next to the incredible flavors of the chicken and spices in the rest of the dish.Happy hour specials look like a great deal, I'll be back for those to be sure!Portions were generous, and appropriate for the price point ($15 lunch specials).
Last night ,Almost 20 of us went there to celebrate international women day! The restaurant staff were very accommodating, and had reserved one section for us. inside decor is beautiful, cutlery ,’plates , glasses are pretty good. They have some unique drinks- I’ve not seen anywhere else in this area , some drinks are blend of Indian (Asian) - Mexican flavors !! Food is delicious - some ordered enchiladas , some ordered different kinds of tacos - chicken n even paneer (Indian cheese) etc and some ordered veggie Indian style burger , everything was tasty , not at all greasy as sometimes tacos can be. And then DJ was awesome ,We had excellent time and I would highly recommend to check them out.
We went on a recommendation from our friend Howard. Great greeting at the door and then we were served at the bar by what my wife and I refer to as a "order taker vs a conversationalist bartender. Food is exceptionally fresh and tasty. A fusion of Mexican and Northern Indian flavors. Fortunately, Felix (manager) redeemed customer service and we met the proprietor Greeta who is very pleasant and set our agenda for a return. Highly recommend a visit

This place is okay. I ordered a ‘giant’ quesadilla and received a pretty average sized quesadilla. Salsa was fresh but not at all spicy. A bit of a disappointment for a place called Uncle Jalapeños. The server did bring me their habanero coleslaw - at least I think that’s what it was. That made up for and added to the greasy quesadilla. Not something I’ve had from a Mexican restaurant before but I definitely liked it. Overall, food was great - though pricey for what you get.I ordered a Diet Coke and got one 12 ounce glass with ice. No refills. Server took my glass once I’d finished. Music here was obnoxiously loud the entire time. I thought about asking them to turn it down but there was already a pretty significant language barrier, so I did not. I waited quite some time for my check - I’m not sure why because I was one of two tables.

Loved eating here a couple of times. Loved the shrimp quesadilla and the tandoori taco - 5 for $15 only! Margarita was outstanding without any harshness down the throat and then I learned they make all their mixes in-house. Can't wait to go back again in a couple of weeks with my women's lunch club.

We had a great time at Uncle Jalepeno! Our server, Harsh, was very attentive and helpful, and took great care of us. The food was delicious, especially the paneer tikka items. We loved the paneer tikka nachos and paneer tikka enchilada, as well as the mushroom tacos.Would definitely recommend!
