My first time eating at Shoney's. Was on my way from NYC to S.C. I had the lunch buffet. Fried chicken was good, salad was fresh and enjoyed my personal mix of the broccoli and mac & cheese. Sweet tea was good too.Staff was nice as well.

The Hillsville Shoneys is going by a new name now. It is more focused on the local music than the previous years of local canvas artistry. Same good staff and some more variety to the menu.

Had to get the breakfast buffet because that was all that was being served. Everything was cold: scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits. Biscuits were so hard. The melons on the fruit bar had no taste and some pieces were rotted. Just nasty,cheap food. DO NOT STOP HERE. Keep on driving down the road for something better.

The service was great. The food? Awful! We were there for Thanksgiving and couldn't believe how terrible the food was. We've been there for Thanksgiving before and it was great but not this time. The turkey was floating in water, I kid you not! I felt bad for the wait staff because they were working hard but the rest was just so awful, I'll never go back there. Thank goodness they're closing.

We ordered off the menu, Ribeye steaks, and the food was great. We had a good waitress. Prices were reasonable. The hot fudge cake was delicious!!! Sorry to hear they will be closing soon.

I stop in here every time I head down I-77 and I love the buffet. As a truck driver it's hard to find a good restaurant where they still offer a buffet so it's a win win for me. Lol. Food always seems fresh and delicious. I have seen a few items that might of not been but those are things I usually pass on anyhow. Service is always good and friendly and prices are reasonable!!

Friendly family style environment. Everybody was friendly, even the customers. The Buffet was very good. If ever buy this way again, we will stop.

Never been to a Shoney's before, but it was really good. The food was great (buffet), the servers were nice, and the place had a very relaxed vibe to it. Only complaint would be the price, but even that wasn't too bad. Would dine again!

Ya know... I never really considered stopping at Shoney's on a trip before, but it was a great idea! Real food, fast, and not too expensive for the buffet. Everyone got what they wanted and guess what we all wanted to start with a salad.. kids and all. A nice break on a long journey! Thanks for reading my review!

One of the best shoneys I've even been to. My waitress was wonderful, and the manager for the even was absolutely top notch. (I'm sorry I forget your name) but she helped me pick a painting for my mother. They have a lot of local artists work for display and purchase inside.Kid-friendliness: Kid options.Parking: Easy and plentiful.Dietary restrictions: Easy to stay on your diet and eat here.

Very disappointed that the past 3 times we have tried to eat at our local Shoneys, we've been told "buffet only". Rarely do we choose any buffet but do like the sandwiches, burgers & strawberry pie from the menu at Shoneys . The people who work there are nice and we're apologetic that they did not have a cook available for menu items.
