We picked this hotel because of its proximity to the Metro. Honestly you don't even need to go outside (except under an overhang) to catch the train. We were recognized at the front desk as diamond members, and given a room on an Executive Floor. Wonderful larger than usual room. One limitation was that we hoped to ask our housekeeper for extra decaf coffee in the room, but she did not speak English. She gave us herbal teas instead. We didn't feel strongly enough to pursue it. However, her housekeeping in our room was impeckable. Fresh towels every day! The executive lounge was a welcome respit as usual. I've seen reviews that state that the food was a bit repetitious and boring and sometimes lukewarm. That was true. Yet it was always substantial and we were so thankful for it. It took me a couple days to figure out the expresso machine, but that too we did not ask about. Evening hors d'ouvres were nice to have. We parked on the property and there were no issues. We felt welcome and that they were there to serve us everywhere we went in the hotel. Thank you.
Perfect location! The metro was right outside the door and it was within walking distance to so many great restaurants. All of the staff was amazing!! So helpful with any questions we had about getting around and quick response anytime we needed anything for the room. Only drawback was the full size bed, wish they were queen.
My wife and I visited the Hilton Arlington for 1 evening in late June. The hotel was very clean, there was ample parking, the room was quiet and the overall stay was great. The local area has lots of good bars and restaurants to choose from. On our visit, we took the metro which was right out the door to visit other areas of DC. Our room had great Wi-Fi reception, very hot water, good water pressure, lots of thick towels, a very clean bed, large tv, good air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave and desk. The bed was firm, but soft. Our only minor complaint was the one side of the bed had a bit of a soft mattress where people had been sitting. We tried the breakfast buffet (not free) and were very happy. The eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and fruit were all very good. We did not try the pancakes, cereal, toast, or danish. The elevators were fast and we never waited long for service. The front desk crew were very helpful and pleasant. My wife appreciated the attached Starbucks. We will be back for future stays to this location.
The hotel is OK. I stayed there for a week. Location is excellent being next to Metro stop. Plenty of restaurants to walk to. Lobby is very small for usual Hilton. The room and bathroom I had were decent sized. All the staff were helpful and friendly. I had executive club privileges. Nothing to the executive lounge. No happy hour, can get water and sodas. More private area for breakfast. Not worth paying for. Restaurant in hotel was OK. Overall there was just nothing about the hotel that had any "wow" affect for the cost. Would try elsewhere but in the same area on my next trip.
We needed a place to stay for a funeral and typically have liked other Hilton Garden Inns that we've stayed at. The staff were great and the location is awesome. Yet, the room was lackluster at best. The heat did not go above 69 degrees. Thankful, they were able to quickly provide a thick blanket. Then, there were stray hairs in the bathroom and bedcovers. Lastly, the pillows were awful. They provided no support.
A hidden pleasure of a hotel. I would probably not have considered this location for staying in DC and visiting the sights, but as I had meetings close by I chose to stay here. I was very pleasantly surprised by what I got, and might even stay here for a holiday trip with the family. I had an 8th-floor room which was immaculate and spacious. As was the hotel itself. The bed was super-comfortable and I slept like a log all week. The window leaked noticeably, but the AC kept the room temperature perfect. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. Fresh fruit and berries with yoghurt, cooked items, juices and coffee. All the staff members were friendly and helpful, even to a somewhat jet-lagged and a little bit unsocial foreigner. I really felt at home. The hotel is located on top of the escalators to the Ballston metro station and has indoor walkways connecting it to a nearby mall (with a Macy’s and several fast food options although I didn’t try those). Riding the metro to DC was surprisingly easy and fast too: the service (orange and silver lines) is frequent and it only took 20 minutes or so to get into the city from your room. The ticket machines took a little figuring out the first time but were really simple to use in an 80s way in the end. I took an Uber to get here from the Reagan airport, but rode the metro back out to the airport. The metro too was simple with easy access from the street level and one switch between the orange and blue lines at Rosslyn. I had a great experience, and would definitely stay here again. For business or for pleasure.
I was disappointed in the hotel. The staff was nice and the lobby was nice. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops which is very convenient. My issue is the room. The room had some sort of water damage in the ceiling that was not patched up. The peep hole was broken and some of the floor panels were damaged. The room was not as clean as it should have been.
My mom and I stay there was great, however there was a Saturday morning breakfast server who did not greet us or was she attentive. She was however extremely interested in the conversation she was having on her phone.
I previously stayed at this Hilton which is centrally located within Ballston, Arlington and this time around I felt like there was a step down from prior experiences and from my stay at other Hiltons (i.e. in Europe). While staff members are friendly and helpful, it was misleadingly advertised on the website that the hotel offers room service. Furthermore, the rooms have noisy HVAC units (the sound of fan is part and parcel of the unit functioning) that make it difficult to sleep. Would also note that the room is a shower only with no-bath facilities. Finally, there is an overpriced and basic breakfast.
We've stayed at this hotel many times and found it to be well staffed, well run and never disappointing! Rooms are always clean and quiet! The hotel also has a great location, close to Washington D.C., has underground parking and is adjacent to the Ballston Metro.

I like to stay in different Hilton family properties across the portfolio when I stay in different cities. A trip out the new section of the Metro Silver Line brought me to this location. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I have stayed in many hotels and know the standards I expect from each brand in the portfolio. This Hilton provided me with a pleasurable and ample stay. As always I chose my room along with pre-check-in the day before my arrival. Upon arrival I was pleased to find that the entrance to the hotel is literally at the top of the exit from the Metro. I went right to my room with the digital key, bypassing the front desk. I would later return to get the water bottles I was entitled to. The room was certainly a good size for a suburban location... plenty of room for everything. The bathroom satisfactory as well with enough space for my toiletries. The shower had no hot water issues. Climate in the room was easy to control, although it was fairly mild outside for early December. In the morning, breakfast was served at the place on the second floor, a typical buffet offering with many diverse choices. All in all this place comes highly recommended if in the DC area; it's easy to get anywhere by Metro.
Such a really nice hotel. I love staying here. Within the walking distance across the street to go to the shopping mall. Also, you can have a lot of free car parking spot in this area. Staff members are friendly and nice. Also don’t forget to use the hot tub. They have the indoor swimming pool.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a standard king room, which included a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. There was plenty of room for 2 people. They hotel has a parking garage, and in mid-Dec 2022 was charging $22 a night. What we loved most was the location. We did not pay extra for breakfast, but there are numerous restaurants in walking distance. Try the Silver Diner for breakfast/brunch. The best part is the Ballston-MU metro stop is literally outside the door of the hotel.
We have family in the area and have stayed before. Our recent stay did not disappoint! Check in was great! Our room/floor were quiet and clean. Check out was great! We were even able to catch up with some of the staff from the year prior.
Left a tablet in my room on checkout by accident. Manager called me that day and mailed it right back to me. No drama. That type of follow up and follow through matters, thanks! I’ll keep staying at these hassle free properties.
