This is a neat local's place with cute chicken decor in the main dining area and Elvis memorabilia in the recreation room. It is sweet with local young adults hanging out with seniors and listening to their stories. Unfortunately, it had a dusty feel to it, and some of our party were concerned with cleanliness. The recreational room had a classic $1 coin-operated pool table, but also doubled as a storage room with cardboard boxes and a broken soda dispenser in it. The hot springs nearby have sulfur mineral content. This restaurant, unlike all of the other buildings in the neighborhood that we went in, had a very strong sulfur smell that reminded everyone of rotten eggs. It gave the place a stuffy, poorly ventilated feel and detracted from the dining experience. The smell didn't seem to go away throughout our meal and affected the taste of everything. We went for breakfast. The food was unremarkable food service food. The biscuits were dry and the gravy didn't have flavor. The scrambled eggs were overcooked. The sausage patties were factory-made perfect salty circles. The waffle machine was broken, but the pancakes were decent.Prices were reasonable.The elderly staff were very friendly and sweet and I feel like I'm kicking a puppy when writing this review, but the 5 star reviews and the aggregate score are way off track. There are a lot more deserving restaurants.On the other hand, if you want a local hole-in-the wall, this is your spot.Credit cards aren't accepted - bring cash.

Don't know if I picked the wrong day but..... I ordered an unsweetened tea and it tasted like cough elixir.I ordered a chef salad with no tomatoes and no ham. Barely had any turkey or cucumbers mainly lettuce, shredded cheese, and about 1/3 of an onion. Then I also had to pieces of plastic wrap in my salad! Thank God my vision is good and I saw them and did not choke! Then at the register I was charged double what we ordered compared to the prices listed on the menu! Definitely on the I'll never come again list. Not to mention the unsanitary performance of taking money and touching silverware and food etc without washing hands in between. I don't know how this place has a 4.5 star rating.
People are nice, but food is terrible, mostly not homemade like frozen chicken patties for their fried chicken sandwich, small, taste bad and one sad piece of iceberg lettuce. Fries are cold and taste of old oil. Burgers isn't good. Prices aren't great for how bad it is. Ate there 3 times and stomach hurts every time.
