Revelation. Went with an old friend and had a lovely breakfast. The grits were clearly made from sweet corn—best I’ve ever had. The biscuit was light as a feather and the bacon audibly crisp. Can’t wait to go back.
Best brunch in Northern Neck! We love having weekend brunch at Car Wash Cafe. Everything is great. The crab omlette and crab Benedict are local favorites. Friendly, old fashioned service in a diner like environment. We love it.
This place is a classy landmark that also serves quality food. Eaten here a few times with my brother and his family (who are local) over the years. Lots of love in this food. Met the owner, Susan, who was very kind and chatted with us for several minutes. Server was also very attentive to our large group and knowledgeable about menu and desserts. Love coming here when I’m in town. Thanks for sharing the history and story of the car wash/gas station evolution. ...
