Machodoc Creek Cafe, located in Dahlgren/King George, is a charming restaurant with a limited menu and seating. Despite its small size, it offers spectacular service and a spectacular view. The blackened shrimp salad and crab cakes are standouts, known for their freshness and delicious taste. The staff is attentive and accommodating, making it a great spot for special occasions. The food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. Everything is made onsite with fresh ingredients including the chocolate ganache mousse cake! They serve the reel McCoy BLT, red, white and blue grilled shrimp salad, and buffalo shrimp. Freshly caught rockfish is available as a rockfish sandwich. Homemade chocolate chip cookies are also available. While iced tea may not be their strength, the restaurant is worth visiting for its delightful food and ambiance.
