We found this restaurant to be overly expensive for what was served. $3.29 for a regular cup of coffee. $3 for a bowl of grits. The food was fine. Like Waffle House quality. But the elderly man loudly streaming various reels on his phone the entire time we were seated was very annoying. The waitress was super sweet.
Had a haddock sandwich with coleslaw on the way back to Hanover County on a Friday afternoon. Without a doubt, it was the best lunch I have had in many years. The enormous haddock was perfectly fried & served on a proper roll. The coleslaw was the best! This was my first visit, however, my husband has been here many times years ago working in the area. I can't wait to come back!
Really enjoyed our visit! The food was delicious, the service was great, and our server was so friendly and attentive throughout the meal. It's one of those little places that just makes you feel welcome. We had the fried chicken salad, club sandwich with fries, and side mac.
Everything was fresh, tasty, and came out quickly. We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for good food and great service!
