Still on our way back from Richmond to Charlotte. Just before the state line we found this beautiful winery. Good wine and great history. Tasting done the old fashion way since some of the covid restrictions. No more flights only but actual wine tasting. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect fall day. All is well.

Great service. Wine tasting was $15 per person. Tasted lot's of wines but only cared for two. It could have been I wasn't in the mood for wine but I am definitely a wine conesiur and wasn't that excited.

A lovely property with surprisingly good estate wines. The rose is particularly good - very complex and nice acidity. We also liked Lineage which is a beautifully balanced Chardonnel, and their red Bordeaux style blend was rich and quite complex. Their Chardonnel sparkling is also very nice.Our tasting was informed and relaxed. Wine lovers will not be disappointed here.

My husband and I were expecting a hole in the wall type winery and were pleasantly surprised at this gem. The grounds are gorgeous and the barn adds so much Southern farming charm. We had a bottle of the Block A and it was perfect. We sat on the second floor, balcony overlooking the grounds, and had some cheese, crackers, and cured meats. Can't wait to come back and bring our friends.

The people that work here are very pleasant. We did a tasting and stayed for 2 bottles. We had 6 in our group. The inside and outside are beautiful. I don't drink much wine but occasionally do and I was ok with their selection. I really liked 2 of the wines and the rest were just ok. I really wanted to try one of the club specific wines but we couldn't join because there is no shipping to nj and we only come down to lake Gaston once a year. My only complaint is the outside tables sit directly in the sun with no umbrellas. Black tables with scorching southern sun while drinking wine isn't a great combo. Aside from that this place is great. We will be back next year.
Traveling From No. Va.-southbound; stopped here for a glass. Absolutely enjoyed the experience. Venue is very nice; Wine, bread very tasty and hit the spot perfectly for a nice break. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Thank you for the hospitality!

Our favorite winery by far! We signed up for their membership package because it's such an amazing deal, plus we get free wine flights every time we visit. We are from NC, but it's just a lovely drive up Hwy 85 over the lake, and you're basically there. Once you visit and try their wines, you're sure to return!
