5* BUT!My wife and I went to Shady Shack for lunch. It's location is right on Lake Gaston and has great views of the lake. Parking is plentiful by the marina store. We sat at the bar and had a.great lunch. Service is very attentive, food is good and the atmosphere is superb. Now here is the BUT........ draft beer at $10 a pint is too much for this place, we are not in DC or NYC we are at a bar on the lake being served beer in plastic cups. This spot is a little bit of a hike for us, our house is located near Eatons Ferry Bridge, but it's worth it. The atmosphere is great, the drink selection is great, and the food is great. All of that is more than I can say for many other places in the lake. There's a good amount of boat parking, but you could certainly be waiting for a short time to get a spot.
