OH MY GOSH!!!! The cheese fries were so good. I got a BLT and a side salad. The Italian salad dressing was very good, I felt like Peter B. Parker in the ITSV restaurant scene, iykyk.
Lakeside Restaurant in Lanexa is a local favorite. It serves American food and seafood, great pizzas large enough for family sharing. It has a full bar. Prices are very modest for what you get, and there are daily specials that offer expanded choices. There is always a daily burger and a daily dinner special. Everything is fresh and made to order. The restaurant overlooks the Chickahominy Lake, and you can watch the Osprey fish, if you're lucky. Friday is Prime Rib night....
It is not a fancy restaurant, so don't expect plush, but the food is really good. I've never gotten a bad meal. My favorite place for steamed shrimp and wings. Not any better around in my opinion.
