Having Michael (former owner/chef of Mickey G’s) as the head chef brings us from NC, which is almost 2 hours away. My wife and I done here, typically, once a month, and each visit is more enjoyable than the previous. The food has always been exceptionally good and our servers have been wonderful. We’ll be back again soon.

Really good food, have eaten there 3 times recently. Specialize in Italian dishes. Would highly recommend. I have gotten something different each visit and it was all good.

Every time we think we've had our best experience here, we come back to be proven wrong. They make it better. We love to sit at the bar. No rush, take our time. Enjoy a drink, an appetizer. Chat. Don't rush the food, just slow down and look at the view, have a drink with the wonderful bartender. Enjoy one of Michael's unbelievable specials. Just enjoy, because this is the place and the people. Slow down folks, if the kitchen takes a minute, I promise it will be worth it. Have a glass of pinot and just relax.

We truly enjoy our dining experience. We are so happy Mickey G is the chef at Maples! My husband enjoys the Seafood Medley & I enjoy the Filet Mignon. Delicious!

We visited on a very slow night. The staff was very nice but very slow. I ordered the house chips to be served a plate of Lays or similar plain potato chips. I asked our waitress if they were indeed house made and she said she saw them taking them out of the fryer the day before so they should be fresh. We couldn't pay the full bill and leave soon enough. Our waitress never returned so we could pay the bill. We won't be returning.

The absolute best place for a steak anywhere around! The bread appetizer was great (the bread was still piping hot when it hit the table). My wife and I both got the ribeye and they were seasoned well, tender and cooked perfectly. All of that said, the fudge cheesecake will change your life it's so good. The service was outstanding as we were seated 15 minutes before they closed and our server was still extremely polite, knew the specials and menu and was attentive. My only complaint would be that the inside of the restaurant desperately needs a renovation. For how good the food and service is the current decor is doing it a serious Injustice.

Overall, I highly recommend it. I never ate at the chef's previous restaurant in Floyd but if the quality of food was commensurate with Maples, I'm sure it is missed.

Nice dining room with fantastic view of the golf course and large lake. Linen table cloths and napkins. The menu has several options in a variety of prices. The food is freshly made and flavor able.

Good first visit.
Blackened chicken Alfredo hit the spot.
Good Portion and good flavor, chicken was tender and done right.

Location was hard to spot as the restaurant is a part of The Old Mill Golf Course.

Second night’s dinner - Pimento Cheese Burger with upgrade of onion rings. Great Suggestion by the bar tender, I forgot to ask for his name.

Parking: Lots of them.

I made reservations for my husband's birthday. I called more than once to verify because the person answering the phone did not inspire confidence. I was told that I was on the list. When we arrived at 5:30 the doors were locked with a handwritten sign "we cannot take walkins tonight."We had reservations so we continued around the building looking for a way in. We found a side door and went to look for the host stand. We said we had reservations at 5:30. We were told that they needed to find the list they didn't think we were on it. That employee disappeared and another came around the corner and grabbed the handwritten list with five names on it. We were not on the list.I told him I called 3 times. He huffed and puffed and shook his head and the held his head in his hands. He told the other person with him to go see if Brandon could take us. He huffed and puffed some more.So I told him we would go somewhere else (meaning we had to travel over a half hour to get anywhere else). Our patentd hsd already driven an hour and a half to meet us here for dinner. I told him he was rude and the place lacked organization. He said "good. See ya."Note:We ended up in Floyd at Parkway Grill. It was one of the best meals we ever had. It worked out for us!
