This is the second time I’ve had brisket sandwich from Big Kyle’s at Gilbert’s Corner. I am super picky and it is the best! So juicy, tender and full of flavor. Plus he is generous with the portions. I also tried the ribs today which were equally fabulous. So good they don’t need sauce.

Recently placed an order for a work event and everyone was beyond impressed with the quality of the food, the quantity, and flat out how amazing the brisket & mac n cheese were. Everything tasted home made and was prepared with lots of love! I highly recommend giving big Kyle a shot and you won’t be going anywhere else for BBQ. We will be catering a lot more in the future.

I used Big Kyle BBQ for an informal sports banquet of 350 high school boys and their families. (There were over 200 male athletes between the age of 15-25). From my first text to billing, it was absolute perfection. Courteous staff, helpful in every way. As soon as he arrived, I showed him the lay of the land, I told him my goal and he offered suggestions as to what would flow better. I trusted him and it worked as he said it would.
Let’s not even talk about the food. I was talking to a colleague and mentioned that the salmon was the best I’ve had. He looked at me and said, salmon is not your typical bbq fare. I told him with a group this big you have to satisfy your pescatarians who all raved about how good it was and came up to me just to tell me they were so happy with the meal. It was so good, it didn’t need any sauce. It was moist, flavorful and fresh. I received so many compliments on the brisket, mac and cheese etc.
We will be using Big Kyle again, not only for school events but also for my own personal events.

We were on our way to Hammerdown BBQ and then to Gilbert's Corner when my wife told me about Big Kyle's. We skipped Hammerdown to try something new, and we were not disappointed. We arrived close to noon, and they were already out of some food, so if you go there on a weekend, arrive early. My wife got pulled pork which she really enjoyed. The pork was tender, not juicy but not dry; she said it needed the sauce. I ordered a half rack of St. Louis style ribs which was part of their last batch of the day. After waiting 30 minutes for the ribs to finish, I picked them up and got baked beans and cornbread. The cornbread was sweet, moist and delicious, I think with some vanilla flavor. More like cake. I tend to prefer a drier cornbread, but this was like my wife's. The baked beans were unlike anything I've had before. It had black and brown beans in a mildly sweet and tangy brown gravy with bits of bacon. I really enjoyed the beans, and the small container was a portion for two. The ribs were phenomenal, smoked to perfection. They were very meaty, moist, tender, but not falling off the bone. There were more ribs than I expected. The seasoning was so good, I didn't even add BBQ sauce. I think they are only open at Gilbert's Corner on weekends. I'll definitely try their restaurant if I'm in the neighborhood. This is now my favorite barbecue place. We also enjoy Hammerdown, but it's pricy. Willard's BBQ near the Expo Center is our second favorite. The ribs were $18, and worth it. Cornbread was $1. Small beans $4. Pulled pork $12. I want to try their cole slaw next time. I highly recommend Big Kyle's, but please arrive after I do. 🤣
At Gilberts corner today, while waiting for strawberries we came across this place and The staff is Amazzzzing!!! Lucy Bridget and Marcus were incredibly nice. Their food is super good to we ended up with alot more than we thought. We had the Cole slaw and it was fresh!!! Crunchy and delicious and the co)ard greens ( not made with pork) was scrumptious too!!! The jar of sauce we will now be using on Everything! Its the Only sauce daughter can keep down. Didn't get try mac n chz bc guys ate it all. Overall, the nicest employees ever! Will def be back!! Oh and daughter has Crohns very limited on so many things, this hidden gem is a hit for sure and this is by far one of the few place she can eat without being in pain. Sorry no pics it was ate pretty quick.

When I think of bbq, I think of the meat. Not the sides. It’s the meat. We ordered a full rack of ribs, pulled pork sandwhich, greens, and Mac and cheese. The ribs were 10/10. The pulled pork 9/10. And the greens 10/10. Once again I don’t go for the sides. The Mac and cheese was more like a macaroni pie. Think it had eggs. I prefer a creamy Mac. We got Carolina sauce and sweet. The family like sweet. The Carolina was so good. Vinegar based. Hint of heat.
The service was great. People were nice and good came out in just a minute.

Superior Meat- Superior Smoke-Flavor to tha BONE, Baby! You don't need any sauces for this meat, but you're gonna want some because they make 'em ALL all from scratch and they got a sauce for all seasons and tastes... Sweet? Heat? SweetANDHeat? Big Kyle's got you and your Q covered! And sides...? Oh Man! ALSO almost too good tasting to be true!
