The bartender was friendly and the venue, while small, was a nice, old, converted house turned brewery. 11 beers on tap and only 3 were brewed there. As a first timer, I didn’t even realize what “BWB” stood for on the menu and selected a more well known brand. Looking back, I see the first BWB beer was a peanut butter porter. Glad I didn’t try it as that’s not even remotely appealing. Also unappealing are the multiple microwave ovens and food preparation space right next to the taps. I like small breweries but this was a miss for me. On to other options.
Recommendation to the owner - change your menu and make your own brews stand out and promote them at the top. No other breweries were abbreviated - don’t abbreviate yours.

They have great beer and the bartender actual has interesting updates about their changing beer menu and what's happening locally. You can also rest your tired bones on the porch while sipping a cool one ? cheers ?

Thank you to Karen, Justin, and Scott who were tending bar that night and just the kindest, most attentive staff. The Black Walnut space is really nice and welcoming. There was space inside for guests that wanted to beat the heat. The outdoor space stayed packed. We had outside catering but Black Walnut provided all the drinks: beer, wine and cocktails (and shots lol). Guests were just raving about how good everything looked and we owe it all to the staff and venue :) Thank you, Black Walnut!

Went in tonight during a bike ride. The red headed server never greeted us and in fact left from behind the bar to talk to someone while we stood waiting to order. She finally took our order without a greeting or even a smile. Great location for bike riders but there are two other breweries just as close to the trail.
