the service i got from the servers here was amazing. they were all very attentive and were fast with delivering the food. the food was your average poolside food with fries and tenders. nothing to rave about. but the people are great.

Excellent accommodations! Superior service! From the on-site luxury spa, gorge tennis courts & golfing course to the relaxing and fun pool, I don’t know I must rave about first! Let’s start with Austin the Awesome! We arrived late after a bare-knuckle 4 hour drive, and we were exhausted from working all day and driving to the conference that evening. Well, Austin’s welcoming attitude lifted our spirits when we arrived. He greeted us at the car, took care of our luggage and escorted us to our rooms. He was personable and highly intelligent college student that is going to take the sport industry by storm for sure! Delicious dining options on site; and so many options onsite to wash your worries away. I was there on business, however I felt like I was on an 5 star island resort. If you are passing thru VA or looking for a great vacation spot, I highly recommend The Landsdowne Resort—when you do ask for Austin the Awesome!
Lisa the manager has always been so nice. She is kind and enjoys a little conversation when you’re in need in of help. The hotel clerks are awesome as well Jennifer offers a warm smile and helpful as well Wallie the bellman takes good care of your bags and offer joke and a smile. When you get to your room he’ll help you with your room. The housekeepers keep the room nice and clean. The bed is the perfect. The pillows are soft and the towel ribs are an excellent touch. The views are stunning. They don’t just have 1 little pool but have 3 pools, 2 nice size pools and one with a water slide. I loved it. We go almost every summer vacation.
Average food at best. Exercise classes canceled last minute. Spa was dirty with mold. Bill incorrect. Room and servers were good. Not the Landsdowne it used to be. Tried to speak with someone and have yet to receive a response. Disappointing.
My husband and I came here for a mini-honeymoon and we had a very nice stay at the resort! Our room was comfortable with a nice view of the grounds. We took advantage of the spa with a couples massage and use of the jacuzzi and sauna facilities which were clean and peaceful. The massage was heaven! We also got to enjoy the outdoor pool, but it would have been nice if the pool with the waterfall had been open (I'm told it's only open on the weekends). Nonetheless, we would come again if we ever feel like checking out more of the local vineyards in the area.
Lovely setting. Had a fabulous nights sleep in a comfortable bed. They fulfilled our requests of a high floor, quiet room. Thrilled that they enforce quiet nights. Slightly annoyed with the $32 resort fee even though we used non of the resort facilities.
Very clean and comfortable but the air conditioner in the unit was really loud and the room's alarm clock went off extremely early. The resort was nice. Comfortable outdoor seating. Great pool setup and being able to order drinks from your pool chair was awesome. Great water slide! The parking wasn't super convenient but not terrible.
I know you can't control when a client brings in a dog that won't stop barking, but you really need to keep the dogs all together if you are going to be running a kennel. I am a dog lover myself and would never stick my dog in a hotel room and then leave for most of the day. I felt bad for the dog who was probably scared to be alone in a strange place, but I am really angry at the owner for subjecting the poor dog and all of us to the incessant barking. My stay would have otherwise been good, but I would never recommend this resort for this reason. I did try several times to report this to the front desk, but there were always several people waiting to be helped and I had meetings to attend. Thankfully, I brought some Ambien so I could sleep through the racket. If you are lucky enough to get a quiet room, this is otherwise a nice resort. I ate at two of the restaurants and they were good. The service was friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were well appointed. The internet and TV worked well. The grounds were pretty and the pool areas were nice. I used the gym several times and it was spacious with decent equipment. The conference center was good and I enjoyed the snacks that were kept out with the soda fountain. Now if it weren't for that constantly barking dog.....
Great stay at Landsdowne Resort. Rooms comfortable, shower water felt like it had a water softener in it, restaurant food was good and over the place was clean and smelled great! Angela, my massage therapist was Amazing and Joshua at the front desk was pleasant and very helpful.

Our trips here used to be 4.5 out of 5 stars because, the amenities are well taken care, people are usually nice and welcoming. But in our most recent trip here we were surprised by the parking fee they started charging, supposedly starting in Feb 2023. The deal is: the closer to the entrance, the more expensive it gets. They charge overnight guests for an uncovered non secure parking lot, they charge AND they have signs that the hotel is not responsible for any damage/robbery that could happen to our cars. What are we really paying for? We used to come here pretty often but since they charge $400 a night, charging extra for the parking makes us think carefully before coming here again. And take that into account before coming here and being surprised by fees. It’s interesting how instead of treating customers better so we come back, they are making it easy for us to go somewhere else. And please, owners, do not reply since I do not want to hear “I’m so sorry” and other explanation. Use your time to make a better customer experience for us, thank you.
We went for our second group retreat and we had the best time! Our meeting went seamlessly - many thanks to Katie Ide and Aparna Godse! All the details were easily handled and clearly communicated. The front desk staff was professional, efficient and a pleasure to interact with. Danielle Oliver has a lovely sense of humor and I believe it was Andrew who cleared up a issue that was confusing me. It is a beautiful venue with spacious rooms, a spa and golf courses. But it is the outstanding staff that makes you want to return.
The golf course will rival any professional course I have played. The scenery is unmatched. The staff is beyond unbelievable with sincerity, professionalism and genuine knowledge of your needs and how to address them. The resort and the amenities it offers is beyond compare in or out of the US. You will not be disappointed .
This was one of the best conference sites! There were 700 women at the conference. The buffet meals had a good variety of foods. They were hot, delicious and served promptly. The outdoor seating areas were a bonus because the weather was beautiful and it was good to have an outdoor break. The food service staff was pleasant. There were enough clean restrooms and no shortage of paper in the restrooms the entire weekend. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The parking was sufficient and well lit. The staff was courteous. It would have been helpful if all 4 of the elevators were in service. Only 2 working elevators didn't cut it for the large number of guests. I would recommend this conference site.
I rarely leave reviews, but wanted to shout out the amazing staff at Lansdowne. I had a great experience! Everyone was so wonderful. Mr. Ronnie (Breakfast omelet station); Mr. Luis (Breakfast); Ms. Mary (Breakfast); Mr. Julio (Breakfast); Ms. Toni (Check In); Mr. Ali (valet)—- everyone was extremely kind, polite, thoughtful (ex: cards; well wishes), and professional. Everyone made our celebratory weekend that much more enjoyable.
