This bakery never disappoints! Their kouign amann and pastries are top-tier, and the coffee pairs perfectly. Service is fast—even on busy mornings.

My favorite bakery in Loudoun. Ive been going here for years and having the Kouign Amann and Americano. Their breadpudding is also a knockout!
Their service is second to none and I always leave happy. I can't wait to go again.

We’ve been a number of times and I just realized I hadn’t left a review.
I was turned on to the bakery with a recommendation about their kouign amann. Apparently it’s popular, so you either need to go early or luck out. The cream puffs and cookies are great, but I finally got a kouign amann.
It’s a lovely pastry. The sugar/thin layer of caramel on the top is substantial without being too thick. Just enough to hold and break apart. The laminated dough is nice as well. Not overly buttery, but still light and fluffy.

I measure a bakery by my three favorite standards: croissants, jalapeño cheddar bread, and sourdough. The croissants here are perfectly buttery with a camera-ready flaky crust. The jalapeño cheddar bread is simply the best I have ever had in more than two decades of seeking them. I’ll try the sourdough when next I have an opportunity to drive to or around Leesburg…and getting more of the J/C bread might be reason enough for me to drive an hour.
I offer the following not as critique or criticism. D&C is a bakery that makes exquisite baked goods and better-than-decent coffee. If you’re seeing this looking for a coffee shop for sipping and enjoying a book, this isn’t your place.
On my next trip, I cannot wait to try their gorgeous sweet pastries.
This bakery is all about the products.

I wanted some eclairs for my wife’s birthday (she’s not a cake person). The eclairs were skinny and small and cream puffs were TERRIBLE! Chocolate on top or eclairs tasted like Hersheys syrup. Cream inside although abundant had no taste at all. It tasted basically like cheap whipped cream. Cream puff was the same. The chocolate cream puff was filled with chocolate mousse NOT CREAM!
They should be ashamed of the prices they charge for this garbage. Frozen from the grocery store would is better!
I’m glad my wife is not a cake person as their 8” cakes are $75-$85! Ridiculous! Highway robbery!

Haven't been in a while but today i decided to treat myself to a cherry Danish (my favorite 😊) and I noticed a SIGNIFICANT quality difference. The cherry toppings had zero whole cherries and had a more artifical cherry flavor to it. The Danish dough was more tough not like and flakey like it had been in the past. I know places are trying to cut food costs right now with the economy. But just saying, I notice a difference.
I just got an almond croissant today (02-05-25) and definitely was not fresh. Maybe yesterday’s?

We visited Leesburg last month and found this gem! And now I’m back home in PA watching the snow fall, realizing we have no groceries and craving their baked goods and breakfast sandwich! We ended up visiting twice while we were in Leesburg and my only regret is not visiting a third, fourth and fifth time. I can’t remember the name of the danish I had but it was like a sweet French croissant. (Side note, we had the ham and the bacon and egg sandwiches and they were HUGE and so yummy!) 5 STARS! *****
