Don't eat there this week! Some old duck on Saturday night severely food poisoned 3 of 4 of us at dinner-- they are undoubtedly serving up past due food in their last week open!!!

I come here at least twice a month and the food, service, ambiance and decor are all what make this place such a wonderful gem in the heart of Lansdowne. Live music on weekends is always a great time in an intimate setting with great beer and wines as well as tasty snacks. Free wifi and easy parking are a huge plus. Highly recommend giving this spot a try if you haven't already done so. Looking forward to using the patio now that the weather is nice.

The service was top of the line including the hostess. Visited for happy hour. The food and drinks were magnificent! I especially loved the open patio for pawed friends. Try out the shrimp if you need a quick bite.

Delicious food and warm ambiance. We hold our business networking meetings here for breakfast and it always a nice variety and great food. The owners are always there and attentive. We have been here for dinner many times as well and the food, drinks and service are excellent. Wonderful french onion soup!

My wife and I have come here three times already and every time the food was excellent and the service was very friendly. I have tried many French Restaurants in VA, MD , and DC but by far this one is authentic and the best.

Food was wonderful! My daughter and i both loved it. Prices were what I expected for a French restaurant. Our server, one of tge managers, i think, was really attentive without being overbearing. We really can't wait to go back!

Everything we got here was mostly great!! And it's kid friendly!! The Thai mussels were extra delicious and so were the mussels in lobster sauce. The warm bread was perfect for soaking up the sauce!! The French onion soup was hot and flavorful. The potato leek paled in comparison but was still good. The frisee salad had a lot of mustard which was a little overwhelming and tangy. My friend loved her lobster risotto with the fresh peas and her husband enjoyed the lamb stew. I enjoyed the pesto tagliatelle but it needed a bit more salt. The kids enjoyed their chicken tenders, fries, and Mac and cheese as much as we did!! Server was really nice. He forgot our escargot so he gave me a free cappuccino although he initially said he'd give us a free dessert. The desserts were delicious as well. We got the lemon cake and the profiteroles. Would definitely come back when we are back in town.

Okay food. Massive portions. I visited this restaurant for brunch on a Sunday. They brunch menu is small, but all of their standard lunch items are available. I ordered the salmon BLT with fries. The bread-to-topping ratio was a little too high for me and the basil aioli was not as interesting as I had hoped. The BLT came with an absolute mountain of fries which were not bad. The waiter also kept bringing us warm bread with butter and the bread was quite good. Overall, I probably would not recommend the French Hound Brasserie for brunch, but I did not have a particularly bad experience.

Fantastic food and great service. We ordered a fantastic halibut that was a special and the pork dish, both delicious, perfectly cooked. We will continue to support this local gem!

Excellent French restaurant in Leesburg. Located where The Dock originally was along with several other restaurants. This is the best tenant that's been there. Formerly they were in Middleburg. This place makes tasty food that looks impressive as well. Very friendly staff as well. They also have nice decor but the side room looks especially nice and could be big enough for a small party.

Love this place! Went there for the first time on Saturday. I had the apple, bacon and blue cheese pizza, while my husband had the steak. Everything was excellent; he really loved the fries. The staff was very friendly and attentive--we will be back.

This place is one of my favorites! It is delicious French food but is really accessible and the environment doesn't feel too stiff like some fancy French places. I really enjoyed that the whole restaurant staff really seemed to enjoy working there and a lot of them are family. I also loved that I felt like you could come in here in casual clothes just to get a bite to eat or you could come for a nice date night! My favorite dish was the lobster pot pie which was so creamy and rich but didn't leave me feeling weighed down at all. I also really loved the pork flat iron with spaetzle. The drink pairings with the meals were also lovely. Follow me on Instagram for more photos of my food adventures! @i.am.avocontrol
