A bar with a serious chef, so much more than fried food. From homemade onion rings, to the beer cheese dipping sauce with the pretzel bites, to a legit sausage oriechette pasta dish. A great new option for downtown Leesburg!
I went into the Tavern because a man from the cafe next door was following me around and kept trying to get me to talk to him. I walked up to the bar, told the bartender, Matt, what was going on, and asked if I could hang out for a bit. He not only let me stay, but asked if I would like some water and asked me for a description of the man. Eventually, the man walked in and asked to sit next to me. Matt got him to sit on the other end of the bar. The man started taking pictures...
Nice addition to downtown Leesburg. Food is solid bar food and drinks are good. Don't expect top-notch cocktails though. However, they are good for what this place is. Great bands as well.
