With a packed restaurant, there's really no excuse to have only one bathroom in operation. There was a constant line to get in to the solitary working bathroom. At one point, 3 girls came out of the one bathroom. The other bathroom was locked/out-of-service for the entire evening. The noise level in the restaurant makes conversation at a normal volume impossible. They should really explore some noise-deadening panels to reduce echo and amplification.
Overall good experience for dinner last night. It was Happy Hour, so we had a cocktail and a dozen raw oysters at $1.50 a piece. They were very good, as were the drinks. We then had oyster po boys. Great sauce and plenty of oysters on the roll. We substituted hushpuppies on one order, there was a $1.00 upcharge, but well worth it. The fries were not crisp, but rather soggy. This is the only downside on the food ordered. Service was friendly and helpful with questions we had when...
The restaurant feels “tired”. In my opinion it needs a bit of updating. The prices were okay. Except...on the drink menu are prices/glass with no mention of glass size. Turns out that our $10 Hefeweizen was in a short stemless wine glass...maybe 8oz? A beer at the next table was in a basic tall beer glass. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. Also, my husband had a discussion with our waiter about the fried oyster platter, ordered it and instead got the fried fish...
