Kobe Japanese Steak & Seafood House

Attention Owner/Manager:
My family and I went in today (June 3, 2025) for Hibachi at Kobe (Leesburg) around 8:15 pm. The entire restaurant was empty. There was one waiter who didn’t greet us, however we mentioned that we are here for Hibachi when he approached us. He sat us in the corner of a table, and we politely asked if we can sit in the middle. He got mad and screamed “just sit over there.” I responded “then we are leaving.” He said, “then go… leave.” As I was I leaving, I said “your management will hear about this behavior.” He responded, “stupid.” We frequently dine out at various restaurants in town. I can’t recall the last time I received this sort of service. If I don’t get a response to this review, I will forced to report this incident to higher authority.

I recently have been going to this Restaurant for sushi. The gut who makes it for me is Japanese. So we talk often about a company I worked for in the late 1980s, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagoya.

He and I love talking about it.

Oh and also they have the best sushi in all of Virginia. But most importantly, better than all the restaurants my boss, Mr. Ohuchi took me to in Chicago and Detroit.

We went there to celebrate a good tennis season we had. Almost all teammates were there. We ordered delicious food and drink. We talked everything but no tennis. We had a great time. Look forward to coming back again.

This was our first time here. Despite having an early reservation at 5:30 they were not ready for us. It was 6:00 before we had drinks. Pretty slow service throughout our time there. The staff who were bussing the tables were taking the dirty dishes to a station out on the dining floor right by our table. So there was a giant stack of dirty dishes a few feet away from us. As for the food it was ok. Mid tier Hibachi at best. Finally out chef. I thought he did a pretty good job. He went through the standard motions with the Volcano and train ETC. it was my daughter's birthday and he did a good job of entertaining her. Not much interaction other than that but I could tell he was slammed with another table waiting. Honestly he is the reason I gave two stars instead of one. With a variety of different options in Leesburg area my reccomendation would be to pass on Kobe and go somewhere else

I went on a busy Tuesday night. I loved the entire experience. I got the filet and the chef did a great job. I LOVE the fried rice and was super happy.

Had a group of 8, food and service was great! It exceeded my expectations! The cook was exceptional not only at preparing our meals but very entertaining! Highly recommended!

Kid-friendliness: We had 2 teenagers that really enjoyed!

Chef not entertaining at all. Didn't even talk or do a show. Food has so much msg it's all I tasted. I don't think it's proper to have the food sitting on trays on a cart near the floor. Place looked dirty to me. Won't ever go back.

My seafood combo w/ lobster, scallops and shrimp all tasted like the sauce you cooked them in. Ruined. Not the item to order from here. Maybe chicken or sushi.
