I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but this place truly earned it.
The sushi tasted far from fresh — the fish had a weird smell, the rice was dry and crumbly, and overall nothing felt safe to eat. Even the basic rolls were disappointing.
The service was just as bad. The staff looked completely uninterested, and it took forever just to get water and basic items. When we mentioned the food didn’t taste right, they didn’t seem to care at all.

I’m really disappointed with my experience here. The customer service was a mess from the start. The staff acted like they didn’t even want to be there rude attitude, no greeting, and zero effort to help. On top of that, the food just wasn’t good. The taste was off, and nothing felt fresh or worth the price.Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are plenty of better options nearby where you’ll actually be treated with respect and get decent food.
Definitely not sushi grade fish

Not the kind of melt-in-your-mouth morsel bite of sushi. The rice is too dense and not of quality rice sushi. The fish variety is cut too thick, unimpressive and tasteless. Tried the Sushi Deluxe and a variety of combo rolls on
2-3 separate occasions. I won’t be ordering anymore.

Mr. and Mrs. Sushi is truly a gem in Ashburn! From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcome with their warmth and genuine hospitality. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it just as perfect for a casual lunch as it is for a date night or dinner with friends.
The sushi itself is outstanding! Always fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. Their specialty rolls strike the perfect balance between creativity and tradition, offering something unique while still letting the quality of the fish shine through. I especially recommend trying their signature rolls, which are just as delicious as they are visually stunning. The miso soup and appetizers are also top-notch, setting the tone for an excellent meal from start to finish.
What makes this place stand out even more is the attention to detail and consistency. You can tell the owners and chefs take great pride in what they do, and it shows in both the food and the service. Every visit feels like a special experience. If you’re looking for high-quality sushi with amazing service and a welcoming atmosphere, Mr. and Mrs. Sushi should be at the top of your list!

Tooooo much waiting

My husband, kids, and I arrived at Mr. Sushi Mrs. Roll expecting to enjoy dinner, as their online hours clearly state they close at 9 PM. When we walked in around 8:28 PM, a young woman was ready to seat us and even had menus in hand. Suddenly, a rude man interrupted, saying, “Sorry, we’re closed,” which caught both the hostess and us by surprise.
When I mentioned the online closing time, he dismissively said they were closing early to clean. This made no sense at all—if cleaning is necessary, it should be done after 9 PM, not before, especially since it causes them to lose business. To make matters worse, they didn’t even offer to take our order to go.
This experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. We won’t be returning, and I hope they update their online hours or improve their customer service to avoid misleading other families like ours.

Casual but good sushi spot!
We took our kids here for a weekday sushi dinner and had a great time. We arrived around 5pm and only one other couple was dining outside. We chose a booth indoors and enjoyed the a/c. We shared a bowl of ramen, lots of sushi, and some kid and adult-friendly beverages.
The sushi was very good. I recommend their specialty Bomb roll. We took home some left-overs for lunch the next day and left very happy.
The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating for our elementary school aged kids and service was great. We'll definitely come back!

I had a very disappointing experience here. The person at the front desk was extremely rude—not just to me, but also to a delivery driver while I was there. His body language and the way he spoke were disrespectful and completely unprofessional. It created a very uncomfortable environment. Good food alone isn’t enough when the service is this poor. I hope management addresses this behavior seriously.

Stopped at this place on a whim after an appointment in the neighborhood and was not disappointed. The OMG roll was phenomenal and the Yakisoba Noodle dish was great. Worth the trip for sure.

I ate at 7 pm, stomach started hurting 45 minutes later and 15 hours later I'm still paying for a gross meal. The rice was mushy vs firm. The tuna was unnaturally red. It was like they added coloring. My son describes it as a step above gas station sushi
