The Side Bar and their wannabe “speakeasy” upstairs, Night Shift, are an absolute embarrassment. It started at the door with a hostess who looked about 18 and was clearly stoned out of his mind — completely unable to put together a coherent sentence. That’s who you put out front to greet guests?
Upstairs at Night Shift things only got worse. The staff were rude, smug, and condescending, acting like they were behind the bar at some exclusive New York City lounge. Newsflash: this is not Manhattan, and you’re not operating at that level. When I asked for a cocktail list, I was told it “wasn’t ready yet.” After pressing, the two men at the bar admitted it was “being changed,” but the bartender still refused to describe the drinks verbally. No effort, no professionalism, no hospitality.
The entire experience was a total waste of 20 minutes. We left without ordering because frankly, why stay? If you’re going to call yourself a speakeasy, at least cover the basics: staff who are sober, a functioning cocktail menu, and bartenders who understand guests aren’t an inconvenience.
Skip Night Shift and The Side Bar completely. Absolute joke of an establishment.

I had my wedding reception about a month ago at the Night Shift and I have nothing but amazing AMAZING things to say. First off as a former bartender for over ten years I have to say Joey and Danny are some of the most talented and outstanding mixologist I’ve come across. Thier confidence and craft is out of this world and was just SO impressive. Several of my friends are in the service industry and couldn’t stop raving about the service and cocktails. The food was amazing the service was outstanding I just couldn’t say enough good things!! My guest, husband, and family and friends had THE BEST time! Have your party here it’s so chic and the drinks itself are such an awesome added experience!

I've been here a few times with my friends, and this is great bar for a casual night out. It consistently makes good drinks, and the bartenders are not only very outgoing and kind, but very funny. The two bartenders I've met enjoy making kindhearted jabs at one another to see who can make the best drink and you can tell they have a good working relationship and love their art.
As the name notes, cocktails are their specialty and with a rolodex of options and expertise in their craft, I'm sure you'll find something you like on their menu or via dealers' choice you'll enjoy.
If you're looking for a quiet bar to talk with friends or read, they play music that is mostly Jazz at low volumes. There are no TVs as well, but they do have board games by the fireplace.
The main issue with the bar might be that there's only one restroom which is often leads to a long line, but this isn't their fault given the older building they reside in. It's also not easy to track closures as this is only posted on their Facebook from what I can tell.
Joey at Night Shift is the best! He’s so good at what he does and you won’t leave the bar without a drink you absolutely love. I would highly recommend this spot for a more chill spot in leesburg with a hint of speak easy vibes.

Such a cool place ! you can tell the bartenders really do have a passion for what they do! When we went 3 weeks ago they didn’t have a cocktail menu but they would make anything that you wanted based of description and what you usually go for! Food I will say was not good at all lol BUT I was mainly there for the cocktails
