They were not able to figure out how to seat a group of seven despite the restaurant not being busy at all. Extremely bizarre and annoying when people are hungry. Thankfully, Firebirds across the street had no issues and was a wonderful dining experience.

Food is GREAT. They bar gives great service. The menu give much variety and the taste is very authentic. The fresh guacamole cart is a must.

On 6/14/25 my daughter was celebrating her 10th birthday. She chose 4 friends (very quiet and respectful girls) to go shopping and then out to an early dinner. She chose Plaza Azteca as it is one of her favorite restaurants. The girls started their shopping at Ulta at 4:00pm. While I shopped with them, I had my husband walk over to Plaza Azteca to give them a heads up we would be over to eat around 4:45pm-5:00pm (they don’t take weekend reservations). He explained to the hostess, and she gave him a blank stare and told him to come back at that time. At 5:00ish we walked over, and I approached the hostess. At the time the restaurant maybe had 6 other tables seated with plenty of empty tables and booths. I asked the hostess if we could have 2 booths right next to each other, but that we would all be on one bill. There was an abundance of booths open on all sides of the restaurant. The hostess said she’d have to ask, went and got who I assumed was the manager (another woman). The hostess and this woman manager came back to the front, and I explained again what I was asking for (2 booths right next to each other- one check). The woman manager and hostess asked me to wait to see if they could do it. Keep in mind we were the only people at the front asking to be seated at the time. The two women proceed to chat (about who knows what), shuffle around whatever they were doing behind the desk, and completely ignored us. My husband, myself, and the girls all stood there waiting for about 5 minutes. No one was grabbing menus or walking around trying to figure where to seat us, nothing. Eventually I looked at my husband and told him we were leaving. It was clear they weren’t interested in seating us even though the restaurant had plenty of open seating at the time. We began to walk out, the two women glanced up, didn’t try to ask if we were ok or if we still wanted to be seated. Nothing. They could have cared less. Clearly, they weren’t interested in the $200 my group would have brought in for the evening. We walked across the street to Firebirds and had an amazing experience and were treated with great service, respect, and courtesy. Overall, a really disrespectful way for a business to treat a customer and ruin my daughters desire to eat at one of her favorite places for her birthday. We won’t be back.

I went for lunch. There is a good variety of well priced food. The waiter did a good job and tried hard to be thorough and helpful. The food was good and the area/ location is beautiful. The menu has a large variety of choices and with food tasting good, I will need to go back to explore more menu items. There is also a good variety of happy hour drinks and appetizers that are priced very reasonably. I tried the nachos, empanadas and chicken wings. The appetizers were tasty and my party enjoyed the appetizers and their menu choices.

Went there after some golf and had a very tasty vegetarian bowl with veggie chicken protein. Ordered the table side guacamole and good. Ordered morning menu super spicy Habanero sauce and was awesome. Chips and salsa are good also. Definitely a good local place

We haven’t been here since they opened years ago. So glad we came back! Karla was our server who was great. The ribeye tacos and birria tacos were amazing and ended the evening with a sweet treat churros!! We will be back for sure! Maybe happy hour :)

We went for the first time today. It did not go well.
The server took a good 15 minutes to come to our table. When he took our orders, he got the majority of them wrong even though it appeared that he was writing them down. He had to come back and double-check them which I'm glad he did because they would have all been wrong.
I ordered a margarita with a salt rim. Instead, I got a drink with a strange patch of salt smeared on the lower side of the glass. I shared a picture. It just didn't make sense why any bartender would do that.
They were out of yellow rice which was disappointing but I understand that happens.
Our waiter forgot a drink order put in when our meals arrived because the bartender was missing at the time. By the time the server came back around, he said he had forgotten to place the order. We were already done our meals so we cancelled the drink order.
He was very friendly, but either very new/poorly trained or incredibly distracted. The restaurant was not busy.
The combo of service both from our server and the bar was very disappointing. We will not be returning.

Overall, was a great experience. Service was on point and staff was friendly. The only issue was one of the cooks sent regular cheese with a vegan order to the table. This time it wasn't a big deal but it's a dangerous mistake to make especially since some people have severe allergies to cheese and eating reg. cheese could become life threatening. The manager came by and emphatically apologized so we appreciate that but the fact the menu offers vegan cheese when there's no vegan cheese is an issue. Corporate needs to do better.
