Went here for a scheduled post wedding after-party. Great atmosphere, tasty snacks and great bar. Working with the event coordinator Stephanie was really easy, and she was responsive and helpful.

The Side Bar and their wannabe “speakeasy” upstairs, Night Shift, are an absolute embarrassment. It started at the door with a hostess who looked about 18 and was clearly stoned out of his mind — completely unable to put together a coherent sentence. That’s who you put out front to greet guests?
Upstairs at Night Shift things only got worse. The staff were rude, smug, and condescending, acting like they were behind the bar at some exclusive New York City lounge. Newsflash: this is not Manhattan, and you’re not operating at that level. When I asked for a cocktail list, I was told it “wasn’t ready yet.” After pressing, the two men at the bar admitted it was “being changed,” but the bartender still refused to describe the drinks verbally. No effort, no professionalism, no hospitality.
The entire experience was a total waste of 20 minutes. We left without ordering because frankly, why stay? If you’re going to call yourself a speakeasy, at least cover the basics: staff who are sober, a functioning cocktail menu, and bartenders who understand guests aren’t an inconvenience.
Skip Night Shift and The Side Bar completely. Absolute joke of an establishment.

Our waitress was kind and friendly. Pretty certain any faults we had were not her fault. It came from the kitchen. We wanted extra chips for the dip we bought and more bread for the Charcuterie board we ordered the chips came in a reasonable time, we ended up canceling the extra bread after 20 minutes. Watch your bill we still were charged. Everything else seemed good.

First time here and it is so quaint! It is an older house converted into a bar/restaurant. The Happy Hour is great! Would recommend when in historic Leesburg!

New server, Gabbie, did a very nice job. The orders were accurate and she was attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and filling.
The room were were in echoed and amplified conversations and unhappy infants. Some sound absorbing decor may help with this. I must say, it was more comfortable, once the source of noise departed.

Great food, cozy vibes, and lovely staff! Sidebar is one of my favorite spots — I’ve been there several times, and every visit has been a great experience. The appetizers and main dishes are always delicious, and the cozy, beautifully designed atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy a meal. The staff are friendly, polite, and all professional, which adds to the overall positive experience.
One thing to keep in mind: make sure to ask for the appetizer to be served before the main course. In my experience, they sometimes bring everything out at once — even though it’s called an appetizer for a reason!
Highly recommend this place — definitely worth visiting.
