Planning weddings often feels transactional, but finding businesses that resonate authentically is key: Silk Banquet. Working with Manas has been EXCEPTIONAL—he's been accommodating and supportive through numerous changes to both food and budget, key aspects of any wedding. It's like having a trusted friend by your side!The food tasting was PHENOMENAL (SO delicious) and the service impeccable. Manas and his team have guided us toward the perfect menu for our big day, offering live stations and more to elevate our wedding experience. Family is important; from my fiancé, to our parents and even my little brother, we're all in awe of the tremendous support Manas has provided from day one, even offering his expertise and advice for other aspects of the wedding.On a site note, while we chose a venue closer to home, Silk Banquet's renovations are really impressive and their package offers a budget-friendly one stop-shop to ease event planning. Whether for weddings or other events, I highly recommend Silk.Thank you Manas, we appreciate you SO much! For future milestone celebrations, we won't look anywhere else—Silk Banquet sets the bar high; service and food can't get better than this.

It's one week after our wedding, and our guests are still raving about the food from Silk that we served at both our post-ceremony brunch and sangeet dinner. Manas at Silk is the epitome of professionalism and class: he is kind, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and very collaborative! He adapted their regular menu to incorporate some of my husband's family's favorite foods, and he offered helpful advice all throughout our wedding planning process. Dishes were presented beautifully, too.We were impressed at our first tasting by Silk's version of kathi rolls, their bingeworthy vegetable kofta, and the rosemary beef on their fusion menu; and then I was even more pleased with Manas's straightforward and friendly approach to business. I can't recommend Silk enough for your next holiday banquet or wedding spread!

I hired them for my mehendi event and I will never make that mistake again or let anyone I know make this mistake.Upon booking silk parties, Binni assured me that she's also an event coordinator. She mentioned that event coordination is included in our package and explained how she would manage things on the day of the event but I found myself setting up table favors as the bride before the event began.Despite paying for an expensive drink package, we were promised soda cans, water bottles, and lassi. However, we ended up with dirty kitchen sink water in jugs that were not even properly cleaned and just two 2-liter soda bottles. Predictably, we quickly ran out, leaving my guests unsatisfied. The servers informed us that the soda had run out, despite us having paid for it. Binni was not there when this happened and no one did anything.The situation escalated towards the end of the night when a man claiming to be the hotel manager verbally confronted my family and DJ, even going so far as to interfere with the DJ equipment and trying to pull and throw it on the ground. Binni was not there for this incident either.Adding to the disappointment, the lassi had an unpleasant odor, which all my guests pointed out .After the mehndi, when I contacted Binni with my concerns, she brushed them off by referring to the timing limitations outlined in our contract. Ironically, these restrictions were only exceeded due to the event's delayed start at 7 pm. This delay occurred despite our original plan for the event to begin at 5 pm, a fact she was well-informed about.In her role as an event coordinator, it was her responsibility to ensure the punctuality of the decorator. Regrettably, the event commenced two hours behind schedule due to the decorator's tardiness.To compound matters, I never received a copy of the contract despite multiple requests, as I had signed it in person. I have no intention of engaging with SILK parties again and cannot recommend their services. Save your money and look elsewhere.I'm posting this review three months after my event only because a friend was considering hiring them, and I believe it's important for potential clients to have a clear understanding of what to expect before making a booking decision and spending thousands of dollars.

Silk Catering was originally scheduled to provide full-service catering for my wedding. After meeting for a tasting and multiple conversations, an agreement was made that we would use the company for our wedding. Silk originally sent a draft contract which we then asked for a few minor changes including a menu item. Silk took over a week to email back, even after we called for them to send a response. We then had a few last few questions and told them we would sign when the questions were answered. After once again calling Silk, we were told that our slot had gone to another party and that they would not be able to service our wedding. They are incredibly unprofessional, with poor customer service, not reaching out to us once to say that they needed a final answer. They will leave you out to dry without a second thought, if you are a wedding party save yourself the stress and go with anyone else.

attended a wedding at the Rockville location, food was mediocre and service was worse. Drinks were not refilled, tables were not picked up and wedding cake was left at the table uncut and unserved. Guests used cups to scoop up the cake to eat it since no plates/utensils were given to serve ourselves. Not going back, was very disappointed with the poor hospitality displayed!!!!
We used Silk catering for our daughter’s Sangeet.From the initial consultation to the tasting and to the event , Manas was very responsive and polite and helped us choose the best items for a fusion menu. Service was excellent and food was delicious- taco station, Indo-Chinese, chaats, satay, kebabs, desserts : all very tasty .We will definitely cater with them in future.

We went there Saturday June 17 th for dinner .Wedding invitation.Hall nicely decorated.Loved their appetizers.Tikki chole , Two types of chicken kebabs, Vegetable kathi roll and scallops wrapped with bacon.Very tasty food . Dinner was rice , naan . Lamb Rogan Josh, paneer , Sham savera . Various pasta fishes plus chicken piccata. Chicken Piccata was full pf cream lacked flavor. Sham savera was too dry . Paneer was ok .Dessert was carrot halwa mango ice cream & vanilla . Really enjoyed the dessert.

Even one star isn't enough for him, we hired him during Covid for our wedding my mother in law put down a 1000$ deposit but unfortunately due to Covid we had to cancel our wedding he said we could use that 1000$ deposit later on for catering but when it came time to do that which was last month he tried to up charge us on everything he mentioned he spent that 1000$ deposit and doesn't have it anymore so he needs more to pay his people? Which proved that he was trying to get more money from us . He will treat you horribly and disrespect you. This is the worst person you can go to for your wedding. Save yourself the headache and stay far far away!!
