Summer Concert series is the best - we just spend a great Saturday evening with Goovelicious ( 80's Disco, high energy music) playing 3 sets and enjoyed their wines and locally brewed beers as well as a selection of food trucks. Highly recommend the summer concerts - to go along with your wine tasting

Summer concert series with The Reflex was packed and a blast! Lots of shade, bathroom facilities, food trucks, and of course wine! People can bring coolers and picnic baskets!

Make the 5 mile drive off the beaten path to find this place is closed. No signs anywhere or or posts on google. Going somewhere else...

There is something special about Tarara Winery that separates them from the rest. As you enter property the tree lined driveway takes you on a drive that during the Spring, Summer and Fall just makes you feel that you are far out and away from the chaos and stress of your everyday life and you immediately begin to unwind. Once you step foot onto the large deck that overlooks the field leading to the Potomac River you realize just how peaceful this place really is. When we enter the tasting room we are always greeted by the friendly staff who are enthusiastic and ready for you to really experience a fun and informative wine tasting. Tarara offers two choices for tastings and both are equally enjoyable. They offer a good selection of whites and reds and even have additional labels to the Tarara brand that are amazingly good, one of which includes grapes from Washington state! (One of my personal favorites) And let me not forget to mention if you are one who really likes a well made smooth Port then you must try White's D9. During the Summer months they hold weekly concert's by lake along with special events throughout the year including tributes to our first responders, police, firefighters and Veterans. And during the holidays if you are looking for that special gift they make spectacular gift baskets that can even be personalized! The membership here is one best values in Northern Virginia.

This review is for the concert venue only. I went a couple of weeks ago with friends to see the Legwarmers. "See" is not correct. Although we arrived about 40 minutes before the show was to begin, finding a spot for blankets and chairs was not easy. We were so far back on the hill towards the entrance. We could hear but could not see the band. No biggie as I had been to the Legwarmers concerts before. I wouldn't call the outdoor venue intimate, just like a mini Wolftrap in Vienna. You most likely won't see the stage or performers. They sell their wine by the bottle only. The rose was actually not bad, but it was $25. They have food trucks and allow other picnic items (but no other alcohol) in. I would return but maybe not for such a popular band. There is a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes.

Here you have the choice of 6 or 9 wines for tasting, and uniquely are provided appropriate styled glassware. Wine flights were also available. The beautifully designed tasting room was welcoming and comfortable. Good wines, of which I personally enjoyed the whites.
