On a recent trip to Leesburg, we needed some groceries from Wegmans and had not visited the location in Leesburg before so decided to stop off. Given the other retail shops, definitely busier to park and not as easy as Sterling. Store is laid out opposite to Sterling so when you come inside think that over. Did not find cheese like we have at the Sterling location. Seemed much busier because it might be smaller. Check-out lines were fast., Not a bad visit but prefer our Sterling/Dulles location.
Wegman's, quite the location for looking for auto parts and groceries, or whatever you want. But might I say Lucas Schriver, a cart assistant? He is quite the hoot! He gave me candies for free, he gave me an insight of his multiple accents, and he even gave me a bit of his local tongue, Danish. Lucas is quite the controversial young lad, he is a little too hyper (especially around me...).
We got lucky and nabbed the last two chairs around the bar during the busy dinner hour. We ordered the salmon sandwich and salmon entree. The salmon was served hot off the grill with a good size side salad and lemon caper aioli. At $13 each (no tipping), the meals were a bargain and tasted delicious. Others at the bar enjoyed calamari, creamy crab soup, mahi mahi fish tacos, big cheeseburgers, and glasses of wine. It took awhile to be served but the food was worth the wait and ambiance relaxed.
Great food selection, and everything I've tried is delicious. You can always count on getting good and delicious food, no matter what you get! Service is always great, too!
Enjoyed their wraps and other items… food was decent. Folks were friendly. They have a large mix of what appeared to be fresh food on their cold and warm buffet bars too. Otherwise, it’s just another typical Wegmans. Grocery shopping was nice, they have all the same, if not more selection as other Wegman’s.
I had read really positive reviews about the seafood bar in the Wegmans grocery store. I thought it odd to specifically go to the grocery store for a sit down meal, but here we are! I'm so, so glad I trusted those reviews. My friend and I had the grilled calamari, cream of crab soup, fish tacos and lobster rolls. Every darn thing was great! Laura was a fun and pleasant server. The atmosphere was surprisingly calm and laid back on a Tuesday night. We've already talked about coming back! Definitely recommend.
We stopped by during the week for lunch. When we first got there it wasn't very busy. They only have one person taking orders, cooking and running the register. He did a good job and the food was very tasty. I got the crab cake and green beans and my friend (who isn't a seafood fan) got the burger and salad. I really enjoyed my meal and my friend said the burger was really good. If you are in a hurry this isn't the place for you but if you have time it's a nice place for a quiet lunch in the middle of a crazy busy Wegmans.
If you want seafood, believe it or not, the local grocer’s seafood bar has a variety to eat. Enjoy freshly rolled sushi and sashimi as well as entrees prepared to take home and cook on the stove or grill.
