One of our favorite places to eat in and take-out in town. However, we recently ordered salads as we normally love to do (to-go) while taking our kids out for one of the recent summer events in town, and as I was eating (pregnant), I bit down into what was extremely hard, broken/shattered pieces of plastic. I am extremely lucky I didn't injure my teeth or mouth, or worse. It seems maybe a broken lid of some kind made its way into my food. And we had just been chatting about how delicious & fresh the salad was right before this happened. It shocked me...I would never want to leave a poor review for one of our favorite local spots, hence the overall good rating still (though options in town are far too limited for higher-end meals and bars as it is); but this is something that can really cause illness or injury to a consumer so hoping they look into this issue and avoid it ever happening again. For right now, I am a bit turned off from my favorite salads and hoping to try again soon enough...but I am honest, I am going to be weary when biting now. Also to note, we would really love if at least one heavier steak or chicken dinner option was added to the menu, something more hearty for those of us who want good dinner bites to choose from, not just bar apps or salads. No one in this town has a good steak or chicken dinner option that is easy to access for the everyday. We dine with TAPS pretty often, so any expansion/update of the menu would be appreciated and so very welcome. Been here a couple years now from a large city, and the menu really has not changed at all since. We always want to support our local, small businesses well before any chains, so with more options, we will surely be a supporter of more high quality & affordable dining/drink options.
My third time having lunch here. The fries, salad, fish and chips, chicken ciabatta were all delicious and obviously even sauces were made from scratch.
The food and drinks were ok...nothing special. The service was kind of scattered. Cozy atmosphere in the bar/lounge.
Great food, great service, reasonable prices.
Great atmosphere, good service, very good food.
Very good
Was very crowded and busy so it took a while for the waitress to get back with us sometimes. Food is good though and it’s a nice place, just small.
Great atmosphere but tired menu.
Excellent food and delightful staff

This establishment left a very poor 1st impression. It seemed like a typical Saturday evening (6:30). Approached the host(less) stand and patiently waited. It took a while to be acknowledged, much less greeted, even though the hostess passed us several times. Finally being led to a table, we had to point out that it had not yet been cleaned. They hastily wiped the table off and invited to sit. Over 15 minutes later we had yet to even be given a menu. Every server kept passing us by as though we were invisible. In any establishment, especially one that’s supposedly a ‘nice’ restaurant, the patrons should not have to flag an employee to initiate service. Perhaps they should post a self-service sign at the door or provide a drive-thru. The food & atmosphere had a potential for assessment if they had a chance to precede our disappointment. We eventually got up and left when no one came to the table to even give us a menu.

The food was very good. Had the oysters, wedge salad and the pasta for lunch. Pasta sauce was below par for this restaurant. Everything else was delicious. Our server was very sweet. The decor is lovely. We will be back.

Went here with a party of six for a goodbye dinner. Very nice atmosphere with good service and the restaurant allows reservations.
The cardinal mule cocktail was delicious, the Taps wings in spicy thigh and old bay were fabulous, and the Taps burger was also excellent.
The fish and chips came with one large piece of fish and the tacos were good but a little lacking in flavor; there wasn’t enough wasabi aioli to really taste it.
Dietary restrictions: Very few vegetarian options and limited options for those with dairy allergies.
