The Palms was great! It's a solid, stand-alone eatery and bar. I have heard about this place for years as a Lexington staple, but had never stopped in... expectations were for an average experience, but this was great! The food was pretty standard in selection (nothing crazy), but everything we had was excellent! The staff there was so friendly from when we walked in until we left. I cant say enough about the waitstaff.
The burgers at Palms are my favorite in Lexington. I also really enjoy the pasta salad.

We always make a point to stop at The Palms for lunch whenever we visit Lexington. Their menu has something for everyone, with a great variety of options. The staff consistently go above and beyond to make each guest feel welcome and valued. We’ve been coming here for many years and have always received excellent service and delicious food — 100% consistent every time. Highly recommend!

The food was wonderful, the service was great UNTIL we paid with a gift card. We knew the amount we had on the card and we were planning to give the waitress the extra left on the card. When she brought the card back to us the card was over $16 short, so we were going through our wallets to find enough cash for the waitress a tip. After we got home we were trying to find what had happened to the extra money and found it was the exact amount of a 20% tip. The waitress had given herself a 20% tip and while we were hunting for cash for a tip she didn't bother to tell us.
Like I said the food was great, the service was great, but if you are going to tip yourself at least have the courtesy to let the customer know instead of taking another tip.
This is an old place, built in the 1800s, that has lots of character. There is a decent size bar with a few TVs. We were getting our food to go and decided to eat it there. Glad we did. The bar tender was great and loved the atmosphere. Lots of people and great energy. We had the bacon royale burger, the southern red eye burger and the pimento BLT. All 3 were great. The burgers were juicy and the home made pimento cheese was great! We got the chips, just ordinary potato chips and pasta salad, which was really good. They had about 8 beers on tap. If you're in Lexington you have to check this place out.

Always good, especially the salads and burgers. The hot food comes hot, the cold food comes cold, I always meet someone I know and the staff is always welcoming. Good sound track, too
