Very lovely resturant. We felt cozy and comfortable enjoying some wonderful food. Portion size was perfect and we left full. Friendly people that made us so glad to visit during our trip!

Wonderful and inventive restaurant. Consistently excellent every time I go. The couple that own the place are exceedingly cordial and understand high quality food and service. Decor is also charming. Highly recommend.

Over priced, poor service and mediocre food. Small portions make this an undesirable dining choice. Not again.

Overpriced food, terrible service… The staff believes they are some how better than their customers. We stopped by while traveling with my girls as it seemed to be a local eclectic restaurant. Was disappointed and treated as if they were doing us a favor for us being there. They need lessons in decorum. Will not go back as there are much better and friendlier restaurants everywhere.

Visiting a friend from the area a few weeks ago and they suggested meeting here. They were more disappointed than I was. Food was overpriced, not flavorful, cold and food did not come from the kitchen at the same time so awkwardly they sat and waited despite telling them to begin. Only thing good was the wine. Definitely not returning. Only reason it wasnt 1 star was because of our server.

Me: Better than any other fine dining experience that I've witnessed within the last year, let alone Lexington. Matt & Rebecca (Husband & Wife) have the hospitality piece on lock down and the ambiance within and out of the restaurant screams southern and hospitality. Seriously the customer service is ridiculous. The food is packed with great flavor as the cooks know exactly what they are doing back there. This all inclusive establishment has exceeded my expectations by far; pull the trigger and drop in. There is so much character where every thing is way more than meets the eye.
My Significant Other: Zun Zun is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience. Tucked into a cozy corner of Lexington, it offers the kind of charm and warmth you rarely find anymore. We dined outside in what can only be described as a private oasis — lush, quiet, and intimate — like we had the whole world to ourselves for the evening.
From the moment we sat down, we were in the best hands. Matt, one of the owners (along with his wife Becca), was also our server, and his thoughtful presence shaped the entire experience. He didn’t just recommend dishes — he asked about our palates, preferences, and even our dislikes, and tailored his suggestions with genuine care. Everything he brought out felt like it was meant just for us — and it was. My boyfriend loved the beer he was drinking, and the bartender went so far as to go into the back storage room to find the box so we could source it ourselves later. That kind of attention to detail is rare and deeply appreciated.
The entire evening felt unhurried, personal, and truly welcoming. When my boyfriend casually mentioned he wasn’t a fan of chocolate, Matt remembered — and instead of the usual truffle at the end of the meal, he brought out a limoncello digestif that perfectly suited his taste. It was a surprise and a highlight, all because Matt was listening without us even realizing.
And then — as if all of that wasn’t enough — just before we left, I commented on the Zun Zun sticker that came with our bill, saying “aww, the girls will love this.” Matt immediately asked how many girls we had, and within minutes, returned with an extra sticker and two Zun Zun temporary tattoos for them. It was the sweetest, most thoughtful touch — something small that spoke volumes about the kind of heart behind this place.
The design and decor add another layer of magic. Every detail is personal: flatware and dishes are sourced from local artisans, including pottery made just down the street, and even some of the china belonged to Matt’s grandmother. It’s eclectic, elegant and meaningful — just like the food.
As for the food… absolutely fabulous. We shared spiced fries and the melon-Stilton salad with white balsamic, followed by polenta succotash and swordfish. Dessert was an almond yogurt cake that I insist you try — soft, flavorful and just the right amount of sweet. Drinks? Just go. Whether it’s happy hour at the bar or dinner cocktails, everything is house-made — no shortcuts, no syrups from a bottle, just fresh, inspired flavors.
We always say we don’t go out just for the food — we go for the experience. Matt, Becca and the team at Zun Zun deliver that in every sense of the word. Zun Zun is a must-visit, and we can’t wait to return.

We dropped in last night without a reservation. Becca and her husband, the owners, graciously welcomed us, and we enjoyed a delicious meal in the historic building, which has wonderful charm. Highly recommend.

We had a friend in from out of town who’s a big foodie. We’ve had some really good meals here so we thought he may enjoy it as well. He had nothing but glowing words. The service was great and the food was delicious. We’ll be back (again) for sure.

Everyone is so friendly, and the service is timely. I had the melon salad and it was easily one if the best salads I've ever had. The flavors were fantastic together. The trout was excellent and the chocolate cake with raspberries was delicious. The prices are more than reasonable.
