What a fabulous place for drinks and foods.
We are so happy that we found this bar after a long drive from Sky Line Scenic Drive.
Hard cider was really good. Wine was good, too.
Delicious Bbq pork sandwich and yummy baked beans are with pineapple in it, tasty coleslaw, mouth melting corn bread with very kind staff.
We will be back.

The BEST wings in the entire area. Hands down. The Apple House is one of our favorite stops, so we hit this pub on the way back to give it a try. They have a great selection of beers at a really good price (especially Wednesdays!), and all the food we tried was amazing, but the wings... they were on a whole other level. I could also happily take a bath in their beer cheese

Highly recommend. Great experience at what is clearly a hometown favorite with lots of pictures of different community groups and regulars. Kaleb R gave us quick and personable service. We'll be back for sure!

The food is very good here, but I did not like how they try to trick customers into tipping. They purposely placed stickers on the card terminal covering some of the buttons to make customers confused on tipping. If you try not to tip, you'll have to really pay attention on what you press or else you'll tip, I think, 30% extra. This isn't a restaurant where you have a server. You order and you get your food. People are TIRED of tipping extra especially at places where you don't need to tip. This alone makes me never want to go here again. Want a real tip? Instead of scamming customers for "tips," increase your prices. That's at least honest.

Where to begin?? We loved it so much that we went twice in one day! We stopped in for a beer after having breakfast at The Apple House. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the bar was and we loved the ambiance. We came back a few hours later to grab another beer and some food after a hike. The pulled pork sandwich was great, but what surprised us the most was how incredible the chicken tenders were! Best we’ve ever had - we bought them for our daughters but ate half of it because they were so juicy and tender. Highly recommend stopping by!

Great BBQ and other foods. The Apple donuts are a must try. The Bushel Pub has a nice selection of local brews. They also have one of the best selections of hot sauces I have ever come across.

We were traveling from Washington DC to the Shenandoah Valley on Route 66 when we got hungry. We pulled off at exit 13 and immediately found the Apple House. It is a family owned restaurant and gift shop. Such fun! We were able to eat lunch and pick up some unique gifts for our 6 and 3 year old grandchildren. It is definitely a place that we will be stopping again!

Stopped in here because my husband wanted some apple donuts. He had had the donuts on a visit here years ago and knew my stepson would love them too. There is a restaurant on site but we were there for the store. My husband got his donuts, and we also bought several jars of fruit jam that I'm looking forward to sampling. The store sells souvenirs, like t-shirts and various other items. You can purchase wines, jams, jellies, salsas, dressings, honey, hot sauces, and BBQ sauces here, too. The selection is large.
