“First timer here. After hearing many glowing remarks about the Apple cider donuts at this establishment, I made the 1.5 hour drive out to Linden, VA. Walking in, it reminded me of your classic general store on steroids. There was a little bit of everything from signs with cute sayings to a variety of hard ciders from across the state. There are two areas where you can order food. Head to the right where it is less crowded and sit at the bar. I went with the staff's suggestion and ordered the Grilled Cheese sandwich with Brie, bacon & apricot jam with a balsamic glaze that came with French fries. That bacon jam was so good that I ended up walking away with two jars. The apple donuts lived up to the glowing reviews and I could see why people make the drive for these treats.”

“One of our favorite local spots. Lunch is always so good. The grilled cheese brisket sandwich is to die for. Cutest gift shop and of course the famous Apple House donuts are always worth a visit. My only reason not 5 stars is the inconsistency with my breakfasts and I've been several times. Sometimes the cook is knocking it out of park but other times my over easy eggs are wayyy undercooked , like basically raw , raw undercooked potatoes and over cooked dry sausage. I wished I didn't have to say it cause I really love the place for everything else but it. happens so frequently we have decided we just won't do breakfast there anymore but will definitely come back for lunch.”

“Based on our recent visits, Linden has corrected the issues that caused some of the bad reiews of the past. We are not club members and reserved a tasting in September 2023. My wife was not participating. The staff offered her a choice among several rooms in which to sit and asked if she preferred the windows open or closed, and then brought her a blanket and water to drink - they couldn't have been more accommodating. We were welcome to sit anywhere we liked after my tasting on each visit.The tasting staff were amazing, and were able to explain the winemaking process and vineyard management for each wine poured and were happy to answer questions. Owner Jim Law stopped at the bar a few times.And while I was finishing my tasting, two or three small groups appeared without the requisite reservations. Jim greeted them and said he could do a tasting for them at a separate bar. After my tasting, I joined them just to listen to what Jim had to say about his wines. I declined a pour saying "I just finished a tasting at the main bar." His reply was, "yes, but you didn't taste this one!" as he poured it for me. It was a sublime experience.As a result of the great first experience, I signed up for a special tour a couple weeks later on the day they were sorting the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the once-in-a-lifetime 2023 vintage. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable as she guided us through the vineyard and very busy production areas. Jim broke off his hard work a few times to give us samples of different wines in various stages and to add information. Meanwhile, the staff was keeping my wife comfortable in the winery.It is too bad these stars don't go to 11, because that would match our experiences at Linden.”

“Amazing. Best burger I’ve had in years. Definitely the best burger in NOVA. Just classic with grilled onions and cheese. Really quality. Fries also crisp and shakes were great. Will be back!”

“Incredible food and friendly service! I had the puttanesca, which was the perfect mix of salty and spicy. The gorgonzola gnocchi and cacio e pepe were flavorful and delicious. The stuffed mushrooms were also terrific. Our party of 8 was thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommended!”

“A friend and I drove from Winchester for breakfast and it was definitely worth the trip!! It was so busy when we arrived, we got the last table! I have a baby in a car seat and the staff were so thoughtful in trying to get us the best table to fit the baby. Our server was a sweet older lady. She was so friendly and attentive and something about her made you feel like you were at grandmas house! I got an omelette and I thought it was great. No big to-do just a normal omelette and I loved it. My friend got the French toast meal and it looks delicious, she said it was great! The prices were very reasonable and the place was cute! I will be back and I recommend others try it!”

“The crab cake super platter is "disturbingly good"!The meal started with a side order of hushpuppies and melted butter. One can tell immediately they were hand made on the spot and fried to perfection.Next came the platter...The very large shrimp were fried to a perfect light brown in color. Butter and sauce are available.The crab cake is something to write home about. Seriously, there are zero-point-zero fillers or binders. 100% lump crab. Buttery smooth and delicately spiced. The sides of mac & cheese and the potato salad were a nice accompaniment but stand in the shadow of the crab cake.The price may seem high, but this is no joke and worth every penny.The open kitchen and casual atmosphere are at odds with a meal that should be served on fine China.”

“My wife and I stopped in to avoid the chain restaurants. We were immediately surprised to find how clean it was and how friendly the staff was. Andy, our server was awesome and had a great personality and attitude towards helping everyone, and I mean everyone! The food was fantastic and big portions. I will go out of my way to eat here again.”

“Literally the best wine tasting experience ever! My mother reserved 2 igloos and they let us stay for 4 and a half hours! We were buying wine bottles and clearly my uncle had a great time. The igloos were nice, the inside had blankets, a blue tooth speaker, and heater. Our waiter Matt was friendly and funny. My family and I definitely made some memories!”

“What an amazing experience! We love how it was encouraged to try different flavors, and if you asked for vanilla or chocolate the rule was ‘you had to try at least 3 flavors first’. All 3 were very welcoming and personable, in lieu of us being a large group. We also had a very nice conversation with the owner and enjoyed hearing on how he gives back to the community, wishing we could be here for the crawfish festival on Mother’s Day weekend! The shop was quaint and cozy with the decorations from all the different customers. Everything was homemade and delicious and highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area. I know we will definitely be back!”

“Thunwa is the best Thai food in town but also one of the most consistent and generous places around. It’s sort of a hole-in-the-wall that is beloved by many. The portions are amazing, very well priced, and the food is always incredible. Service is fast and consistent every time. “Great find. The food was fantastic! They had seasonal asparagus, which I had to try,good choice. Ice tea was good,not too sweet,bitter or watered down as I'm finding at a lot of placed. I ordered Birria Tacos,3 braised brisket tacos, cheese and corn tortillas, consomme, salsas. Very tasty. Also tried Pork Belly for my first time as well,good stuff.Definitely will return.”
