Now this is where you go if you’re looking for Southern, home style cooking. Just good food with a mix of seafood and steaks. The service is warm, and the atmosphere is appropriately old fashioned. It’s quite popular, so get there on the earlier side if you don’t want to wait.
Dinner with friends last night.. first timers. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Friendly service, fast service, prices affordable! Our 4- top table ordered clam strips, onion petals, ribeyes, crab cakes and sautéed shrimp and the salad bar! Homemade croutons - YUM! Desserts- coconut cake, lemon blueberry pie and an orange cream cake- y’all GO! We will def make this a regular dinner option. Thank you The Oaks!
We were out today exploring the historic Northern Neck and decided to try The Oaks restaurant. I'm glad we did! We were greeted as soon as we came through the door by the owner, Monty Carter, who was very accommodating and friendly. As soon as he seated us, one of his waitresses came over and asked if she could get us something to drink while we viewed the menu, which she did immediately. I decided on the hand cut ribeye steak, loaded baked potato, and a trip to the salad...
