The Shack at Yankee Point Marina

The new Yankee Point Marina is something to check out. I took my boat in for some repair work and the yard master worked with me on finding an economic solution. (My original ideas would have cost thousands of dollars, his suggestion put it at less than $800.) This place is awesome. Group of us took a chance and we're happy we did. If you're looking for a fancy place oozing with class, this isn't it. You sit outside, canned soda/bottled water and yes, maybe even a fly or two - but the food is awesome. Everyone in the group was happy with their lunch with no complaints. Service was outstanding and the guy running the place was friendly and took good care of us. Definitely recommend and we'll certainly go back. BTW, get the crab cakes...outstanding.!

We heard great things about Munchies but needed to try for ourself. We took the boat down from Tappahannock and we're so glad we did. The food was delicious. The j*** chicken was amazing, the crab cake sandwich was so tasty, and the onion rings... handmade and fantastic. We will definitely be back to enjoy more delicious food. They had fresh oysters too so maybe next time we will try the oysters.
