Trish and Jodi are passionate and caring, from the conversations to the food and every detail - they are one step ahead of you. Alesha makes a perfect drink as ordered. Old fashion is what I recommend if you cant make up your mind. Jodi cooks the best steaks and sea food, and the collard greens are the best I’ve had even living in Charlston SC. The staff is welcoming and have great smiles and make you feel right at home. Cant wait to go back and leave another review.

Exceptional!! We came here on 9/9/23 after a long hike over at Crabtree Falls and in need of nourishment. Based on the location and the reviews, we gave it a shot and boy were we happy!! We were disappointed at first by their lack of kid friendly options (I guess they don't get many children) but the owner (and chef) quickly remedied our disappointment with a kids meal on the house that she made up on the fly. WOW! Not only that, they gave my daughter a little figurine and some paint to play with while we waited.My friend and I both ordered the teriyaki salmon and it was SO perfectly cooked and well seasoned. And a complimentary cheese and fruit board AND included dessert?! Whaaaaat?! Woah! Zero complaints.And our waitress was top notch and couldn't be happier with her service.Thank you so much for giving us amazing food and service so we could relax. We truly appreciate you and will certainly mark this as our new favorite mountain restaurant to come to after we are done at our new favorite hiking spot :) well done!!

I can't say enough great things about this restaurant! We didn't have reservations, but they took us right in like we did. I even had a similar shirt on as the lady of the restaurant did. We were genuinely treated like family. Great people, great food! We were visiting from Cincinnati, Ohio. If I'm ever back in that Virginia area, I will definitely be eating at Mountain Mama Restaurant again!!

The staff was pleasant, very wonderful small group of workers. The food was AMAZING. My sister, mom and I, intend on making this place a regular spot to eat for our special outings.

Wife, daughter, and I went here tonight after a long day of errands in Charlottesville and a disappointing attempt at dinner there. But, at mountain mamas, everyone was super friendly and understanding that my daughter was a bit cranky. Such a nice, hidden place. The ribeye was perfect and my wife is so happy she finally found a place nearby with great crab. We will definitely be back!

An amazing hidden gem in central Virginia. Malcom is an amazing bartender. Try one on his signature cocktails. He makes an amazing French martini. You’ve got to try one.
