Chicken Coop Reviews
The food is great, but the service has declined recently. There are two girls, May and Joniyah (spelling may be off), who are always friendly and helpful when I stop by. However, another girl was working during my visit, and she spent the whole time in the corner on her phone, ignoring the 4–5 customers in the store. She was rude and never left her spot. Credit to May and Joniyah for stepping up and taking care of everyone! Perhaps the other girl could benefit from more...read full review
Their breakfast sandwiches have me in a chokehold! Sausage, egg, and cheese hits every time! My only complaint is if it’s just the teens there, they clearly take the hash browns straight out the grease no drain time and package them so then they are a greasy mess. If the Angie is there that place does no wrong. Food made right EVERY TIME.
Great food.

Based on the reviews, Chicken Coop is a local eats place inside a busy gas station and convenience store in Lovingston. It is a small space with a few seats inside and wooden picnic tables outside. The counter service is quick, friendly, and patient, with kind staff who never disappoint. The fried chicken is the best, made fresh to order, never greasy, and plain delicious. The sides are very good, with potato wedges being a popular choice. For breakfast, the Sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant and the Gravy & Biscuit are excellent, with a good amount of bacon. The grab-and-go wrapped breakfast sandwiches are a welcome delight. The food is tasty and fresh, with good quality meats, bread, and lettuce. The prices are reasonable, and the restaurant can accommodate dietary restrictions like dairy free. Many reviewers stop for lunch or dinner every time they pass through, recommending it as a classic example of great food in town.
