The food is great, but the service has declined recently. There are two girls, May and Joniyah (spelling may be off), who are always friendly and helpful when I stop by. However, another girl was working during my visit, and she spent the whole time in the corner on her phone, ignoring the 4–5 customers in the store. She was rude and never left her spot. Credit to May and Joniyah for stepping up and taking care of everyone! Perhaps the other girl could benefit from more...
Chicken Coop had that casual comfort-food feel I was hoping for. The chicken was tasty, the portions were satisfying, and it felt like an easy spot to grab a good meal without making a big plan. I’d go back when I’m craving something simple, hot, and filling.
Chicken Coop has some of the best fried chicken anywhere. The little restaurant co-exists in a building with a gas station/C store. Food is served fast and a small area to eat in is available plus a couple outdoor picnic tables. The sides, green beans and potato wedges are top notch.
