The atmosphere and staff is so welcoming! A perfect place to take family as well. The drink menu changes by season and holidays which is fun. Everything they have there is delicious. The owners dog is so friendly and enjoys hanging out with everyone!

We came upon this place while exploring Luray. What a treasure! Perfectly crafted and creative drinks and delicious burgers from Blues Dog Bowl parked right outside. Owner is a veteran and came over to us a couple of times to make sure that we were enjoying our drinks and meal. Awesome staff! Awesome place. (And they have the cutest German Shepherd who also wanders to your table to make sure you're enjoying yourself 🙂) Don't miss it!

This place is amazing! They offer mocktails versions of almost every cocktail, the staff are incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and the smashburger food truck has the best BBQ pork I've ever tasted. I was in town for Luray Caverns, but would drive back (4hrs ) just to come here again. 10/10 all around.

A fantastic distillery offering more than a handful of spirit types and multiple cocktails per spirit - we tried vodka and rum-based cocktails. Blue's Dog Bowl, the on-site food truck, had the best smashburgers I've ever had! If you stop here plan on great drinks and bites!

We came here for a mini weekend getaway and decided to try this place out. The drinks were amazing. I also have never had such friendly service EVER. Many of the staff members came up to us to continuously check to make sure we enjoyed our drinks and were enjoying our time. We had 3 dogs with us and hearing about why they named their location after Bruce made my heart so happy because we have 2 leash reactive dogs. Highly recommend this place for the delicious drinks and amazing staff and service. The food truck that is outside was also amazing. We got the burger loaded fries and I’m still thinking about them!!!

Had a really great visit here. In addition to good drinks and a friendly dog, there’s a food truck which makes some of the best fries I’ve ever had. And really what’s better than a nice cocktail and some french fries?

Mixology is an art form and Blue Shepherd proves it. They consistently update their drink menus and use their own spirits for the beverages. There are also mocktails for those who don't want to drink. The place is very casual - dogs even allowed inside. Food truck on the premises that apparently has great smash burgers, but I have not tried them yet. I am not a huge cocktail drinker (I have a hard enough time managing my beer and wine consumption...) but every once in a while it's cool to mix it up. The staff is always friendly and efficient, even when the place gets very busy. Parking can be a challenge if it's very busy. You can always park up the hill by the singing tower and walk down (about a 5 minute walk).

Was at the caverns and wanted to grab a bite. Food there didn’t seem appealing so we hit up the dog bowl and grabbed a hand crafted cocktail at blue shepherd. Highly recommend if you are near by.

My wife and I stumbled upon this gem as we were driving to the Mimslyn Inn and saw the crowd inside. Stopped by for cocktails a little later and we were not disappointed. There was a long list of craft cocktails to choose from but the menu was organized nicely by spirit and also the server was very knowledgeable. The Apple Blossom was delicious.
