Nice service and food was fine, but you pay a hefty price for just normal ole breakfast food.

The food was great. We had the breakfast buffet at 17$. If you have a light eater, do yourself a favor and just order them something from the menu or it won’t work out price wise. All of the food on the bar was fresh and great. I ended up having three plates to make up for those in my party who were full after the first plate :)Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice, with the cabin feel.

This was our second trip to the Brookside Restaurant and loved it. In fact we brought our entire family the second time. Both trips we had the buffet. The first one was Brunch and the second time it was for Sunday Dinner. The food that’s on the buffet is amazing, good ole southern home cooking. The fried chicken alone is worth the trip. The salad bar is also full of fresh produce and home made salads. The service and staff were very nice. This is a great place to check out and worth the trip.Nearby activities: Luray, Va is a cool little town to check out, fun shops and Luray Caverns is a lot of fun.Food & drinks: Foods wonderful. Southern Cooking at its best.

Stopped on a whim for lunch after visiting Luray Caverns and I'm glad we did. The restaurant was clean/cozy, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Everything was hot, fresh, and clearly made to order. It's exactly the kind of spot you'd want to find driving through the mountains.Food & drinks: Great coffee, delicious BBQ, a solid cheese burger, and both the frys and home made chips were hot and fresh.

Buffet was pretty good. I liked that there was a salad bar, but the greens were a little sad. I loved the stuff shells. The rolls were very dark and dry. Great sweet tea and chocolate pudding. Overall a cute place with friendly staff and the buffet was a decent call for the price.

Food on buffet was a little dry and just mediocre. The salad bar was very good! Should have ordered off the menu, may have had better luck. Service was great! Restaurant is very dated but appeared to be clean. Probably wouldn't come back again.

Just a warm, homey environment for a simple meal. We stopped for breakfast and I got Scrapple! Something I love and rarely see on a menu.
