Loving this restaurant we went over the weekend to the cabins. We didn't have a place to eat but we found this nice restaurant. The food is super yummy and best costumer service.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. I wish I would of found this place the last time we were in the area

I'm glad we found this place during our trip. The food was well seasoned, and delicious. I'm probably gonna be thinking about that salsa for weeks after. Best I've had in a while. Welcoming and super friendly environment.

Great food and service, you feel that Mexican vibe. If you visit the caves, this place is a must

Arrived to no wait. Sat to order and they DO NOT have any liquor/margaritas. The only Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to that doesn’t have that. No beer. Water and soda.
The food was mid.
Salsa was decent and the second batch of chips we asked for were not stale.
A bit pricey for the queso (the bowl was below half full) and the guacamole was watery. And expensive for the tiny bowl.

Kids food came out after we all were almost done.
Water was not filled ever until we asked multiple times.
I am confused by the 4 stars.
I feel generous giving the 3 stars.

ALSO there was a massive bone (I took a photo) bigger than the size of a quarter….in the taco. Cut his mouth and all she said was “well the kitchen is big.”

Strange locale and seemed dated. Food was decent but no one else in the restaurant at 6pm on a Thursday.

Enjoyable dinner!
We dined at this Mexican restaurant while visiting Luray Caverns. The interior decoration is vibrant. The service was prompt. Chips and salsa were the complementary. We had Chicken Fajitas and Enchiladas. We tasted their Deep-Fried Ice Cream as dessert. The food was fresh and flavorful, and it had a fair portion size for sharing. I would suggest going here.

Oh I fell in love with this little hole in the wall place! We visited after visiting Luray Caverns which was close by. The food was MAGNIFICENT. It was very flavorful and fresh. Even the chips and salsa was freshly made! The service was wonderful. They were so nice and kind! The place was very clean too. I highly recommend it.

Food was off the chart delicious. Staff were nice and service was fast.
We went between lunch and dinner as a late lunch and there was only one other person in the restaurant.
We had just be to the caverns and the staff there recommended this place and they were spot on!

Terrible experience. I'm not really sure why the owner would include thumbnails of Margaritas on his Google listing when in fact they do not serve any alcohol whatsoever. I actually spoke with the owner who relayed that his pastor told him that it was wrong to sell alcohol at a Mexican restaurant. No lie. He actually said that. He also told me that he's lost customers as a result. Oh well ... you can't fix stupid. There's another Mexican restaurant in town ... Rancho Viejo ... do yourself a favor and go there.

Nothing fancy but nothing bad either. Food was good and fast. We would eat here more if we lived closer

Overall, Camino real is a great spot to have a lunch or dinner. The waitress was nice & so was the owner that helped bring out our food. My only complaint (some may not call it that) is that the portion sizes are huge. Sharing a meal with someone else is definitely the way to go here if you don't want leftovers. To sum things up, friendly staff & good eats.

Staff were friendly, chips were fresh, but from there things go downhill. The Salsa and Queso were both very watery, didn’t taste the worst but the texture was very off putting. My girlfriend asked for the white sauce for her chips, it smelled and tasted like it had gone bad days ago. I ordered the 3 taco combo and my girlfriend ordered the Arroz Con Pollo. The tacos were bland and tasted like a store bought taco kit. The beans that came with them were watery and bland, and the rice was gritty and also bland. My girlfriend said her food tasted unseasoned and the chicken in her dish looked boiled. Additionally, they would not serve any alcohol, our waitress claimed they were out of margaritas so I asked for a beer and wine menu, the waitress claimed “my boss said no” with no further explanation. Think twice before going here

Great staff. Food was ok. Did not blow out socks off. The tamales are not fresh, too much maza, and the bottoms were tough.
