This one is difficult because literally everything was amazing except for the steak. The sauces they served were extremely good. The mashed potatoes were extremely good. This might sound weird but even the water was the best water I’ve ever had. The steak though was a bit disappointing. It was tough and it almost felt like it was sous vide, which would make sense because it took forever to come out even with the place being empty, but that doesn’t explain it being so tough. Maybe it being the off season for the area would explain it. Who knows.

We were there for the lunch menu, Service was excellent and the ambiance was terrific, unfortunately the food was lacking. Five different orders and all the burgers were undercooked and the rolls were stale. I picked up my burger and the roll crumbled in my hand and had that yeasty smell when bread is about to turn. Our waiter went above and beyond for all our little whims and was very personable. The food prep, not so much. Disappointed.

Great experience. Farm to table. Amazing food that is fresh and flavorful. Our waitress did great describing everything. We will be back again on our next visit. We could eat there every night of out trip and we would enjoy it. You would think it would be more expensive for the food and experience. Very affordable. If you are in Luray, this is a must stop.

We dined at the Chop House on New Years Eve with the fixed menu. We were so impressed and loved this restaurant. We were greeted by the general manager at the front door and at our table after being seated. She offered sparkling wine and thanked us for dining with them. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. At one point, I dropped my napkin from my lap and before I could request another one, she was at our table with a new napkin in hand (she saw me drop it and was proactive). Very impressed! The food was impeccable and expertly prepared to our liking. The atmosphere was pleasant, clean, and upscale. I cannot say enough about our positive experience at the Chop House and highly recommend a visit there. Excellent!
A dining experience that will have you talking for days to come! Cozy, yet upscale design (huge fan of the chair!). Our server John was a delight. Great recommendations and fun personable demeanor. Most importantly the food was top notch, simple yet bold flavors and cooked to perfection. My husband raved about his old fashioned! Thanks for exceeding our expectations!

Holy Moly this restaurant is fantastic. We ate here December 29th. The bread was light and fluffy with an amazing taste. The crab dip was nothing I've ever experienced. The steak was butter in my mouth. But the best yet was the mashed potatoes..... WOWEEEEE! I need the recipe!
