My 1st visit, ever and the entire families meal took forever to get and most of it was either not right, or even cooked correctly. My mother in laws steak was all but raw, our friends steak looked like a burnt uncooked meatball, my brothers steak looked butchered by Michael Myers himself, the gravy was not runny, it moved with the mashed potatoes and my wife's shaved Ribeye sandwich tasted like it was cooked in the Atlantic Ocean. I would not recommend anyone to eat there that visits this beautiful place.

Julia was great! They were short staffed but you would not know it. Julia was on top of everything and the food was awesome! My son had the catfish and he loved it. I had the cod and it was very nice. Beef brisket was the special and it was amazing! We will be back when passing through the area.

Wow. We didn't expect to have this first time experience. Our visit consisted of the bar area only. The live music got us to go but the food and service will keep us coming back! The pours were generous, food and service was excellent (shout out to bartender/waitress extraordinaire, Yvonne), and the live music was great. We got the 12 oz sirloin cookes medium rare (came out perfect and rivaled Longhorn), 2- 6 oz chicken breast (tender and flavorful), 2 salads (ranch tasted homemade and ingredients were fresh) and 2 sides (mac & cheese was on point and the french fries tasted like boardwalk fries) all for $47. I'll tell you... everything was phenomenal! From the tasty yeast rolls & club cracker basket to our smoked smoked bologna appetizer (never seen that menu item before) to the main entree for two and peanut butter pie dessert (get it!). We look forward to frequenting Dan's Steak House and love that we're supporting local business. Oh! Happy Hour (in the bar only) is 4:00-7:00pm, with $4 drafts and half off apps. The bar is a tad small to have live music but the owner (Neil, super nice guy) said he would move the music to a different area in the restaurant to accommodate a larger future crowd if he needed. Give this place a shot. We're really glad we did!

As an extended family of 17 on vacation in VA, we all wanted a steakhouse for dinner. Found this gem on google. It’s hard to find a place that can accommodate all 17 of us, including 8 children ages 1-10. The service was great, everyone was so kind. Food was great! We enjoyed it! Thanks again!

Steak flavor was good but was overcooked. I asked for medium rare and got medium to well done. I am one of those people that doesn't like sending food back, so I just ate what I got. Next time I'll just order rare and hope it will be closer to medium rare.
Went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. It was clean and totally empty at 7pm on a weeknight. Our server was super polite, and I have to say the highlight of our entire experience.
The food was just okay. My BFs steak was. Medium rare filet-it was cooked to temp and he enjoyed that with a Caesar salad. I had the pulled pork sandwich-it came quite dry with burnt pieces so I didn’t eat much. The waitress noticed despite me not saying anything and had it removed from the bill, and also supplied me with a new free one to enjoy later.
Service is excellent, the food could use some flavor/personality. Restaurant is clean and appeared well staffed!!! I would absolutely go back and give these guys another try—they absolutely aim to please and are making an effort!!!
